Changes look fine, good even. I've never really understood players' QQing towards changes in the past. If you read the terms and conditions, as players, we don't even own our accounts. We only rent them, therefore if I were to log on my main and see him wearing a bikini instead of my hard earned gear, well so be it. He's technically not mine. Blizz can do whatever they like with their game.
I wish they'd add cooldowns to Frost DKs.We currently have 1 and its not that impressive (20% more STR and knockback immunity). When I look at shamans (Who can pop feral spirits, fire elemental totem, stormlash totem, bloodlust, elemental mastery, elemental blast, ascendance, and blood fury/berserking if orc/troll) or paladins (Guardian of Ancient kings, wings, avenging wrath) or monks (Tigereye brew, xuen, grapple weapon, touch of karma) and other similar classes, I can't help but feel a little jealous. They get to do massive amounts of damage during the burning phase of a boss because they can pop a lot of CDs at once for some insane damage, and frost DKs? all they have is one lousy CD that isn't even THAT good. Unholy does has some impressive ones, but not frost. =/Ohh well................. one day. One day.
My respect for Ghostcrawler RIP, he just sold out to the PvP whiners.True Story Below
no news on the changes that were coming too hunters? except the crap they already told us -.-bah, i feel more and more like kicking Lore in the nuts for telling us too calm down cause things are coming only too find there is nothing agian and agian.Edit: well the changes were posted just before i made this post, missed them.still took them freaking long enough too actually add it on the PTR considering when they first mentioned it.
Blood dk will be viable in an avoidance build again! Finally!
I love how Blizz groups low-armor casters in with Hunters when it comes to passive damage reduction. Last I checked, mail armor values are significantly higher than cloth/leather. Yes, straight damage reduction is "better" than armor, but I don't think shadow or balance nerfs were needed. They are pretty squishy already. Compare to elemental shaman, who have have some pretty serious damage mitigation. Shaman wear Mail, with a significant defensive talent CD, Astral Shift, a very nice baseline defensive CD, Shamanistic Rage, and an additional (fairly constant) 10% damage mitigation from Glyph Of Lightning Shield. If your shaman is a dwarf, you also have a decent racial defensive CD, Stoneform. Ele Shammies also have pretty good burst. I just don't think this was the issue Blizz made it out to be.
Sure, Devs. I'd love to be able to cast only 1 spell from either spec of Warlocks during your motivated encounters. I'd rather be slow as hell, and be able to cast all my spells, than to spam incinerate during the movement based encounters.
They said monks are still under populated, gee I wonder how? 2 of their specs were "broken" or deemed unfit on release while the other seem to do too much healing. I've been playing a monk since beta; I love them but it seems like Blizz is still undecided on what they want for them since this is the 2nd talent redesign for windwalker and the tier bonuses seem to be all over the place (check the previous ptr changes). They should have buffed them like they did with death knights when wotlk was released then gradually put them into place, this would've gotten people's attention since people only care about numbers and kills. (this means raiding or arena ratings)Also notice how there's a bunch of talk about the other class changes from the people here and not a single thing about a monk, js.
Not much being said about the state of Windwalker Monks. Ever since MoP release I've absolutely DREADED having to use Fists of Fury in a raid environment. The only good counter to that ability is to stack up on haste so that you won't have to cram it into your list of priorities. You can attempt to time FoF in how much you'd like, but even the most calculated channeled ability that requires you to stand still can be absolutely wasted if the tank decides he wants the boss to stand 5yds further to the right. That's 3CP and a 25 sec CD, worth between 60-80 energy and 3 globals. Neat-o. The same would be the case if the boss drops fire beneath your feet just as you press the button. That's not even mentioning how finnicky it is to make sure you don't cap energy should you ever use it for the sake of the ability. No matter how amazing it is while soloing or questing, I think that the skill has been asking for some sort of re-design for almost a full year now.Ever since they announced the changes to Windwalker Mastery I've been stoked for 5.4. Hopefully monk raid DPS won't be reliant on RNG through the Rune of Re-Origination procs to the same extent. It feels wonky playing a spec that has become more and more reliant on burst DPS when it is clearly designed around sustained damage.I don't mean to sound whiny, I love playing Windwalker, but these two are my main caveats with the spec.
Again, Fel Armour, as the name implies, should increase armour. Take away that aspect and it's just Fel... whatever.
I like the changes they made for Druid heals...
