Three new cosmetic items are now available on the Blizzard Store! Visit your friendly neighborhood NPC Transmogrifier to replace the look of your existing helm with one of these imposing pieces of headgear.
Recovered from the frozen battlefields of Northrend, the Crown of Eternal Winter enshrouds your character in an icy visage of death. Now you can adopt the look of an elite member of the Scourge, but without the inconvenience of undying bondage in the service of the Lich King.
Salvaged from the remains of the fallen minions of Ragnaros the Firelord, this helm sets you apart as a glowing beacon on an otherwise crowded battlefield. Where’s the rally point? How about by that guy with the RAW ELEMENTAL FIRE emanating from his forehead?
Forged from Fel Iron and shrouded in flames, the Hood of Hungering Darkness is a remnant of a rare dark magic only practiced by the warlocks of the Shadow Council. The lingering curse that keeps this headpiece burning is thought to be harmless, but feign demonic possession once you adorn it and see who dares to believe otherwise.
Each of these cosmetic items takes up your head slot, has no stats, and works across all races and classes. Visit the NPC Transmogrifier to replace the look of your existing cloth, leather, mail, or plate headgear.
So first people were complaining that everybody's going to be running around with these and that they look awful anyway, now the complaint is the price?
I'm going to vote with my wallet and buy a couple steam sale games instead.
Milking the cow, the only MMO that rips you off with a sub + game store
Prepare yourselves...A WoWhead contest is coming!(I hope)
these prices a very absurd indeed, considering you only get 1 of the 3.and its just 1 item instead of a set.
I can see $15.00 for the whole set, not $45.00.
12 euro for this is waaaaaay overpriced .....
I had no desire to get any of these since the models don't work with the toons I tend to play but after seeing that price I can officially say I will NEVER be buying any of these at all.
Humm, actually, not a bad idea. This time I'm gonna give the thumbs up to Blizz, except for the price though. I'm gonna have to pass on the Crown and the Hood though... simply because I like to see my character's hairstyles.Maybe I'll go for the horns. I hope Blizz keeps up the good ideas. Maybe some purchasable Vanity Items? More mounts! The sky is the limit. I wish Blizz hired me, I have some ideas that I'm sure would work... after all, they have implemented a bunch of stuff I've been talking about on forums for a long time... :PStill waiting on confirmation on the Stormcrow Mount being a Blizz Store Mount... after all, I asked a long time ago for a druid's flying form model mount... :P
I like the idea of access to cosmetic armor sets, emphasis "set". Charging $15 USD for just a helm is overpriced! I would rather see cosmetic Tier sets purchasable with some kind of in game currency like Justice Points or something.
