I'm against WoW going F2P, because if someone needs to buy something valuable from the store, it will cost more than 12 euros a month... so please no...
they give it to asians so they can make max lvl characters faster so they can farm gold to sell, or bot, you know, the usual.
A dangerous path potentially. It throws open the ability and possibility of pay-for-advantage and does it in an easy to access way that is just begging to be used to hang some tempting carrots right in the face of everyone who plays (assertive and direct sales tactics for impulse buys -WORK-). The difference to those who would ask is that between your cable company having a VOD section that offers new movie releases in their own prominently displayed section and having weekly or monthly 'pop-ups' that splash across their screens when they first turn on the box or open up the guide. Yes they do sell movies from VOD, but by shoving the options in their face (and leaving them one button press away from a purchase they find appealing but otherwise wouldn't have considered) they drive sales. It then only becomes a question of limits ("how far can we push our customers before they run away") and how willing (or how necessary they feel to their bottom line it is, etc) they are to push it. It isn't a matter of if so much as when and to how much of a degree.(No I am not saying Blizzard is going to push splash screens for items or anything of the sort on us anytime soon if ever. Simply that easier access means easier exploitation and easier acceptance by the sheep because it really is just so damn easy and you're living with it everyday.)I pay a monthly subscription for a more or less level playing field, no one can really legitimately "buy" an advantage due to real world wealth or lack of it and/or willingness to shell out for virtual items. It is simply a matter of skill and commitment, you commit and you expect some reward from it.(Yes you could potentially "buy" your way to being carried for end-game raid gear, but it is a risky back alley business with no guarantees and no recourse whatsoever. The fear here is legitimization and legalization by the authorities which would prompt more widespread adoption obviously as it is sanctioned and done in the light of day, it feels normal and safe.)I offer this not out of concern for the sudden sale of armor and weapons but rather the setting of the pot and the pouring of the luke-warm water into it as it sits atop the stove. It is something to be watched and regarded carefully; no one tosses a frog into boiling water.I (and I'm sure many others) will be watching and paying close attention to where this goes, the moment it becomes pay for advantage is the moment I quit. This all said, I wish Blizzard luck with their pet and mount sales.
If this comes to Us servers I'm cancelling my sub.YOu already have to pay 3 times (pay for the game/xpacs, pay the sub, and the increidbly overpriced blizz store) if you want to experience the full game. If they take an aspect of a FREE (emphasis on the free part) to play model and put in their far, far, far from FREE to play game, and make me pay 4 times to get the full experience. I won't do it.I already hardly PvP because Bliss has long given up on that crap, so I only play half the game as is. I'm on the edge already.I think Blizzard really has no idea of their playerbase, and just how many people are on the fence and looking for a reason to stop playing.the only way I find this acceptable is if they made WoW F2P with the option of continuing to pay the monthly sub. If you choose to pay the sub then you get all the store and micro$ crap automatically, or you can choose to not pay the sub and nickel and dime your way through the game like any other F2P game.
Hopefully they make haunting spirits available in the store. Getting them on a server is almost impossible and the price on most server is ridiculous. Motes of Harmony should be made tradeable. It would be nice if we could get the blizzard bag size increased. Additional toon slots on a server would also be a nice to have. Add additional recipies to armor making, especially for low levels, where there is gaps in items. Its crazy that the only bracer a LW can make is lvl 9, then it skips to lvl 27. Or the fact that there isnt a bracer with INT or spirit that can be made.Plus they also need to add in lvl 90 gear that for PVE not PVP.
Dont buy gold from goldsellers, buy it from blizzard instead!
At this rate, I won't be surprised at all if WoW goes F2P.
More than anything I'm worried about the shop in case someone gets hacked. If they have saved card details...Yeah, they might be just the tiniest bit !@#$ed.
Most of the time in these cases, even with saved credit cards, it'd ask for the security code for the card. So hackers would also have to provide that three digit code. Not exactly perfection in the way of security, but it's something.
Lesser charms are already so ubiquitous that adding another method to acquire them amounts to nothing. It's like pissing in an ocean. Of piss.
people who say calm down and stuff its only EXP and charms yes your right atm YOU ARE this is opening the gateway to what people have been saying pay to win, first its EXP and charms, what next gold, weapons, gear. please dnt say it wont happen cos the pandora's box has been opened and anything ccan happen with this feature.
