What about shoulder pieces for Shadow Pan Assault? Or is it there and I just didn't see it
Ah, always happy to see my patch notes spawn new news articles. :)
It's definitely harder to gear up alts now. If they did it the same way as they did in Cataclysm, we could just buy 522 items for justice, plus they would give us some reasonable ways to:A) Earn justice.B) Get 522 gear fast, like scenarios or 5-man dungeons. It was the same at the end of LK. Hell, you could even buy tier tokens...
Alright, I have to say I don't mind the nerfs and the faction changes even though I've farmed most factions to revered or exalted for the gear. I still love changes that are made to make it easier gearing alts and for players who haven't yet got to experience the new tiers because of gear lacking. I've got one question though.. Will the shoulders that could be bought for 800g from the Shado-Pan Assault also be lowered to friendly rep required?I'm asking this because I'm going to gear up my druid which I haven't raided on in this expansion yet and a little change like that could give a lot to players who -as said before- haven't yet raided on some characters.I hope that the shoulders will also be lowered to friendly rep requirements, because buying a good item for 800g is very good since you can get that gold within no time and it will be quite a big upgrade for most players alts. Thanks for reading this and I hope that if that change hasn't already been made, will be made if a Blizzard employee sees this. Ps. I don't want to make anyone feel that I'm begging or whining. Have a good day! :)
It's not just you. :) I used to *love* running dungeons but the evolution of LFD (looked so good on paper! but sadly, the side effect of 'not having to worry about ever seeing these people on your server' has made it a home for some of theworst 'anonymous-on-the-internet' behaviors) has ended my dungeon days. When Cata hit, I found that I could not even complete dungeon quests because groups were so into the LK 'run at top speed without stopping to even check your casters for mana' model that stopping to pick up a quest item would find me suddenly alone and looking for which direction I was supposed to go. Haven't seen half of the Cata dungeons or been in a single MoP dungeon. Dual-spec (another terrific idea with lots to offer) also resulted in far less need for spare healers for raids, so no more raiding for me (after the experiences with LFD, I haven't steeled myself to try LFR yet), as the guilds I used to run with can now just have someone swap spec as needed. Not complaining - the game evolved in ways that cut me out of that content, as I insist on actually *enjoying* the time I spend in a game I pay to *play.* Just a reality. :) But yes, there are a good number of us who have been pushed out of the activities that award JP, so a move from valor to JP is no advantage to us, and will make it harder - not easier - to gear up. Hopefully there is a nice option to convert valor to JP at an advantageous rate, that will balance that out.
I love this about the currency, but what about "Lesser Charm of Good Fortune", I know they r use to buy Mogu Runes of Fate, but Blizzrad really needs to come up for another way of exchangement for these also. The reason is I have 4k+ "Lesser Charm of Good Fortune". We need a source to buy w/ these really plz.
So are daily quests going to give JPs now or still VP? If it remains VP, there is absolutely no reason at all for anyone that doesn't do the top end raids to even bother. All you can get with VP are items from a faction that you can only get rep from (except for very small amounts on the Isle of Thunder) by running ToT.With these changes it will be even harder for people who don't enjoy grinding dungeons to get any kind of gear other than crafted, and even that has been changed so mats for the higher level crafted items (and patterns as well) come from raids alone, for their mains, let alone alts.I came back to WoW after 2 years, playing six other MMOs during that time, just to see what MoP was like while waiting for another game to come out. With the additional changes, Blizzard might as well put a sign on the game that says " If you want to play this game for anything besides top end raiding, don't bother." And raiding has become a big joke. A couple handfuls of raiding groups actually work through the content and everyone else just tries to duplicate what they did by watching a You-Tube video of it. There is no bonding of groups of people any more. It's all about numbers. "Looking for ilvl 502+ (specific class) for (a certain raid). Know the fights (ie watched You-Tube videos of real groups that actually ground through the content to succeed as a group)" And people wonder why raiding is dying? You can go anywhere these days and be treated as simply a number. People actually want to form bonds with other people in a group and be, god forbid, human. It seems that fewer and fewer people even care that there are real-life people behind those pixels. I suppose nothing different from the "real world" where it's a prevalent attitude that "I don't know them so I don't care" As technology takes over so does amorality.
This is probably the only change everyone have been waiting for, if you've refused to do the dailes for the cheap time-sink they are as well.
