6 years of playing and i finally have a way to try tanking in private! cant wait for the patch to go live
Since this is the first legendary that's not a weapon, the devs know they really have to offer some special things so players won't be disappointed. Access to Ordos, special spell procs like Spirit of Chi-Ji, interesting textures, and other effects are tied to this legendary so far.Well, they FAILED.I am disappointed. Very very disappointed.I'm not saying the capes are useless, far from it, they're pretty damned good, but the visual appeal, and prestige associated with a legendary just isn't there when its a cape instead of a weapon.I'd be happier if they at least provided us with unique weapon-skins to use in transmog, or some other cool cosmetic reward.Once this expansion is over, any usefulness of these rewards is gone. Unlike other legendaries which still serve as bragging rights rewards long after their debut expansion is over.I very much agree with this. This is my first legit chance of obtaining a legendary item, and it is a cloak. I have cloaks/headpieces disabled visually since day 1 with only a very few exceptions. But hey, the stats are great, right?
why do they invite wowhead and all these other people? because blizz knows you people wont ask hard hitting questions about why their game is in a decline. you guys just kiss their asses and ask the easy questions that no one cares about. why dont you ask them why their game loses so many subs and why almost every realm is dead, why pvp has become the most unbalanced aspect of the game and w hy raiding is dead? also ask them why they brought the team working on TITAN back?Have you ever considered that Blizzard (and other companies) invite groups or organizations like wowhead because the team at wowhead is able to ask well-thought-out questions in proper English while keeping a calm and composed stance on things instead of raging about what they think is wrong? Perhaps it's because they have some degree of professionalism, and frankly, they matter, unlike you or any other nobody with an opinion. Also, speak for yourself. Some of the information provided is relevant to my - and likely other people's - interests. The questions asked are likely not what you see as "hard hitting" because they aren't intended to attack or call out Blizzard on what's wrong in the game. The idea is to get information in a non-bias manner, and provide it to the community. No one would take wowhead seriously if they said things like "blizz is teh suck cuz they no give free gears legandrery capez r stoopid 2 wtf gif weppens." In regards to the complaints about Legendary Cloaks, I'm hopeful. If they can manage to make a cape that is worth showing, or at least has a new model rather than a new texture, I'm all for it. It won't be able to be transmogged if it's legendary, so regardless of whether it were a weapon or not, you'd still not be able to show it off and be effective in future content anyway, but that's a different issue.I don't know if I like the new world boss being "legendary only," but that's due to my ignorance: In order to get the legendary cape, you also have to have the ilvl 600 cape, which requires having done every other chapter, yes? If so, that sounds very lame for newer 90s, or those that simply don't PvE but want to try the new boss.
i say that the big blizzar bear was REALLY UNNEEDED here, it will make player(include me) angry because you got something that was SUPPOSED to be long time ago gone from palyer yet you are able to get one, personally, i would really prefer that you keep for your self and not said you had the blizzard mount, but now, many people will rage on the forum because of that ...honestly, i realyl think that a D mvoe from blizzard to give you that mount only to you but not others ...Seriously? Someone else got a gift, and you're peeved about it?
If they were committed to the raiding experience during Wrath, they would separate the 10 and 25 man lockouts again. Numbers don't lie, biggest population was Wrath of the Lich King, the hell with those "Hardcore" wannabes that can't handle "HAVING" to do both raid lockouts.
The concept of the arena team is being eliminated, so people can freely group with whomever--similar to the rated battlegrounds system. The UI for this is currently on the PTR--if you go look at your honor and arena pane, it shows that there's no team there, just personal ratings. Region-wide matchmaking is coming as well. A blog post on these details will be coming soon.Excuse me, I just had an aneurysm from pure stupidity. They're making pvp into pve.
Love the heroic scenario "lots of people are doing them so they must be a succes" part, they ONLY doing them cause of the 516 epics to boots their Ilvl and nothing else, for the rest they the same boring scenarios give some proper 5 man dungeons pls.
Also, why cant the bags by BoA and not soulbound? As characters get bigger bags, mail the others to alts or banks instead of having to sell them to a vendor for a fraction that was paid.Yeah! Screw the economy, lets just make everything that's crafted BoA so you only have to buy it once, ever.
The devs were concerned that not many people would do Heroic Scenarios as a result, but it appears a really large portion of the population is doing themThat's because they fixed Blizzard's error in excluding it from the queue system with a queue system that's player made. Either that or they're just grabbing 2 random people they'll never talk to again out of trade, which is no different than grabbing 2 random people you'll never speak to again out of the queues.players are completing challenging content and doing so with their friends.Uhm, LOL? Have the devs ever run a heroic scenario? You can solo them in 480 gear if you're the right class/spec. How is that "challenging" for anyone?Since this is the first legendary that's not a weapon, the devs know they really have to offer some special things so players won't be disappointed.I'm going to echo the sentiments of the person above who said they failed in this endeavour. The biggest draw of a legendary is that it looks "cool" long after its relevant, and makes for a nice memento of adventures now past. A standard cloak model that hasn't changed in nearly 10 years isn't "cool", and it certainly doesn't satisfy after spending close to a year (or a little over a year) working on getting it. This disappointment is only worsened by the procs themselves being both weak in power, and low in reliability due to the RPPM system they will undoubtedly be tied to.All in all, if they were trying to make the receipt of a "legendary towel" come across as an awesome reward for all the effort (or at the very least time in the case of LFR) that players put into acquiring it then they did a miserable job of accomplishing that goal. The devs are happy with how Thunderforged-style items have turned out in 5.2, and a similar system will be implemented for the Siege of Orgrimmar. It keeps farm content interesting, instead of bored players sharding every single thing that would drop after a few weeks. It's great that they're happy with the system, but the majority of feedback from players who raid has been very negative towards the idea because it creates distribution issues depending on what loot system is set up by the raid leaders. Beyond that, it just adds yet another layer of RNG on top of the already frustrating high level of RNG (especially for shared loot and 10's only getting 1 item on almost half the bosses in the tier) that exists with acquiring loot. I also question their claim that making these items a double gamble to acquire is "fun" for anyone, as I certainly haven't heard anyone proclaim with glee that they have to kill H. Jin'Rohk for the 10th time this tier because he "might" drop that thunderforged H. DPS belt. All of that aside, none of this was relevant to why TF gear was introduced in the first place, which was for the sake of helping preserve or encourage the furtherment of the 25m raid model, but they didn't make any comments on its success (or more notably its lack there of) in that area.
Every Dev. roundtable starts with the following question:"So devs, how are you ruining the game even further this time?"
