What ever happened to the really cool lookin Helmets? Like Helm of Eternal Winter, which was datamined for 5.2 along with a fiery version. The best guess most people had was a reward from something related to Mid-summer festival, as there was a fire and ice version. Though there's nothing new, the chance for a new cloak will help gear off specs and alts.

The cloak should be ilvl 502, so it has some actual use. Last year's items were 353, equivalent to the Zul dungeons added in that patch, the highest-end non organized raid content. Similarly, today's highest-end non organized raid content is LFR.Oh, and the scythe remains a transmog item only, too, since it has no intellect on it. Shame.
EU players have been commenting it's by the Halfhill Market--I will confirm when it's up in the US.
So are the only real changes the Flames in Pandaria, and the fact that you have to be 89 to fight Ahune?

Can anyone confirm that 89 is the minimum level to queue?
I've alerted various people to the Frostscythe issue--perhaps it will get hotfixed.
I've heard that the event goes live around 11am PST.
It's live on EU realms already and as noted in the guide, does start around 11 am PST for the US :)
