I am getting...Server errorThe website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.wowhead.com/search?q=jade+spirit. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly....whenever I use the search.I did read through the entire thread, and I see mentions of blank pages on Firefox, and mentions of AdBlock, but that didn't fix the issue. I am on Chrome, and I have had AdBlock disabled for this site since I installed the add on. Google searches work fine, so there seems to be an issue with the search? attribute.

We're working on the Client fix currently, and have search, item comparison, and image uploads ticketed as high priority to fix. The Profiler is temporarily going to a 404 because we're planning to launch an updated version of the tool when the site is stable, and had to disable the old version for the server move.
Is this why the client wasn't uploading? :D
I'm finding WoWHead extremely slow at times now, I tried opening a page on my phone (Connected via WiFi to a 100Mbps Fiber connection) and it tooks 4 retries when the loading bar kept freezing on the phone. It would only get 2/4th's of the page before the connection appeared to completely stop. What is going on? I'm having nothing but problems with WoWHead now, but it was FINE before yesterday.Traceroute is showing packet loss occurring at Rackspace for me, but I do not see how a little packet loss would cause a TCP connection to completely fail. The last time I had a issue like this with a site, it was caused by them running a Transaprent Caching Proxy server infront of Apache, they did not use Squid and they paid a heavy price (Literally) for the Proxy Software which ended up having a serious bug with GZIP browser compression and no fix available.Either way I'm now find WoWHead unusable at times, 3 minutes to load a item details page to see the Average Buyout price on a Samsung Galaxy S4 connected to a 100Mbps Fiber connection is not good :( (Dial-up is faster than that!)
The Client should be fixed now, as well as the times on posts going forward now. Wowhead is running slow because we just finished a huge server migration--it's a complicated process and there are many unexpected bugs that come up. The migration was yesterday, which would explain why Wowhead was running fine before that for you.
If i click on anything in latest comments, my computer just clocks and then crashes the browser.. Useing IE9 its all I have access to at work
Screenshot submissions are now working again. Back to more fixes :)
The Battle Pet maps aren't displaying anything for me (Firefox).
Thanks, we're investigating the issue now.
Why is it when I go to wowhead.com it says it's down for maintenance? But when I access the forums wowhead.com/forums?board=0 it's fine?Cheers.
It's probably a cache issue--we had to pull the site briefly down for maintenance yesterday.
Ahh .. thanks. A shift-reload made it fine. Damn, here was me thinking that wowhead was down all day today :(Cheers.
It seems that since the migration my Wowhead looter wont upload.
It seems that since the migration my Wowhead looter wont upload.Known issue. It needs to be updated. Just wait a little bit longer.
One issue I've run into, while not strictly speaking technical, is progress lost on the consecutive logins. I got error messages all day* yesterday - 503 errors I believe, though I'm not certain (I didn't bother to write it down, thought I could easily remember it).It is really annoying to lose progress due to the site being unavailable for several hours - though it seems a bit weird to me that I can see people writing in this topic, apparently just before I tried logging on for the first time yesterday (above post by Mike is dated "yesterday at 11:15 AM"), and Ashelias post is dated "2 days ago" (at 01:04 - am I guess - on mouseover), though I didn't see this topic when I was here 2 days ago at ~11:15 am.In general something feels weird, and very unsatisfying in regards to this.* from 11.30am CET to ~4.30 pm CET where I had to go to meetings that lasted till well after midnight. Also, not continuously trying to log on - did so sporadically over the course of the day while preparing for said meetings.
Nooska, send a message to and we may be able to help in this situation due to the errors you were receiving. I can't promise anything but that would be your best shot in this case for a concession.
Get rid of po.st for your social sharing utility...I know you are making money off of it, but you are wowhead, build something better. I used it on my websites and all of our users hated it. Just my .02
Strange... I've used it a few times and really liked the layout of it. Quite simple. I hadn't even really noticed ads were displayed before you just mentioned it. lol
