I'm gonna miss the giant statues.
While I hate the damage the Vale has taken, to just abruptly "clean it back up" after the final routing of the Sha and Garrosh would send a "actions without consequence" feel. We together have done this, if we don't have to give an effort to restore it then it should be left that way as a reminder of what blind ambition and callous disregard for life will bring.I see a middle path, a sort of "Regrowing vale": The Sha Taint goes away (because the sha of pride is kicked till it dies) and some of the fields begin to revive, but the major architectural and terrain damage remains (perhaps with scaffolding in some places to indicate that the NPCs are working on putting their world back together again), and a lot of the trees are still charred/wasted. The point being that while the Vale will never return to what it was (at least not in our time), it may at least be on the mend
Damn you, Hellscream! DAMN YOU!
A bow with dark red details! Yes!
I agree, first the excavation taking a good chuck out of the vale, & now the whole vale...
What if you haven't gotten to the quests in the Vale yet? Yeah, I have two 90s, but I got there via quests elsewhere working on Loremaster. Are we still going to be able to access the original quest lines?
What if you haven't gotten to the quests in the Vale yet? Yeah, I have two 90s, but I got there via quests elsewhere working on Loremaster. Are we still going to be able to access the original quest lines?Probably not, since the achievement for completing all of the quest lines is turning into a Feat; there should be a new version coming out.

Are we still going to be able to access the original quest lines? No, the questlines there are going to be completely nonexistant. GL rep will be obtained from killing enemies in the vale. So if you haven't got Eternally In The Vale yet, DO SO IMMEDIATELY.

So if you haven't got Eternally In The Vale yet, DO SO IMMEDIATELY.Not quite. They've said that it will still be possible to get rep with GL via dailies, it just wont be the same dailies. They're introducing new dailies for the GL faction, and are adding a limited pool of dailies to it.Apart from the other 3 methods of gaining rep with them (The Farm vegetables quest, the Stolen Insiginas from the Zandalari Warbringers/warscouts, and the championing via the daily heroic/scenario)But the default storyline of the golden lotus is going away for good next patch. Which is why if you're interested in seeing it, get exalted with them NOW and get the story completed so u get the feat of strength.
While I'm not surprised by the change to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, it is actually a little heartbreaking to see. I've grown attached to how tranquil and peaceful the zone often looks and feels. My first thought was "What the *bleep* have we done!"its actually the big ass villain Mr. Garrosh who did this.not we I mean. Unless you are part of the so called "The True Horde".Might have missed it somewhere....but what is Thrall's take on all of this...or has he just vanished from all storylines now?
I'm not surprised the Vale became Corupted. We all knew the War was going to cause trouble to spread thanks to us putting our War into their Land. In fact I kinda like the new change, never liked questing there so its not that big of a deal to me. I will miss the nice peaceful look to it when I flew around over head but as said It was't there to last. I like the idea of turning some mobs into corrupted forms as well they said something about a silver bar...wonder if they will become Rare? Over all the story of Mop is like a Book an the farther we get into it the more the story changes, We have seen what happens from when we stepped foot into Jade an saw what the conflict between horde and Alliance to seeing the powers of the Sha Lay waste to Dread. Perhaps after Mops finale they will start fixing up the zone like a sort of aftermath, which would actually be cool to see. How ever I best start grinding rep for the Golden Lotus before this comes heh.
*Sigh*Better start grinding out those Golden Lotus dailies.
Is Yorik still in the Vale, or has he been removed?
Considering there is rumors (an the obvious hints like the chest an ship near him plus the fact that he drops Mr smites compass that turns you into a exact looking copy of him) that he is in fact a Mr Smite maybe he will be moved out toward the coast. Maybe build a small boat to sit in like another Rare is found doing. Ether that or he might get corrupted like they said some Elites will. I just hope hes still around so I can get a Compass. Is Yorik still in the Vale, or has he been removed?
Go head and laugh at this, but the sight of a decimated and corrupted Vale brought a tear to my eye (not just an expression), i've spent many happy hours there and to see it so totally defiled is a bit of a blow. I only hope it doesnt take as long as the SW repair to purge to corruption and return it to its former glory
aww vale of eternal was so beutiful place now so are the place a animal zoo
Great... Now that this zone is sha-touched how can I have that picnic in the vale that I always wanted to have? I will never look at sha-touched weapons now... they remind me of the good old days... Removed? Wow that stinks...
With the waters being drained, has anyone seen to where the Jewel Danio are being moved?
I enjoy my ranged weapons and find this one just "Dead-ly Sexy" Grievous Gladiator's Rifle
Yea yea the Vale is destroyed, yada yada...What is going to happen to Gamon? He was being bullied by guards outside of the inn with 5.3, and now in 5.4 they've "dragged" him to the drag and threw him in front of a firing squad! Do what you will to the panda-land, but if you (perma)kill Gamon, so help me god...
