Patch 5.3 Darkmoon Faire Changes

The Darkmoon Faire is now affected by CRZ in Patch 5.3. This makes accomplishing Darkmoon Dominator, collecting Darkmoon Rabbit, and completing quests like DEPRECATED: Putting the Carnies Back Together Again much more difficult than before.

On a happier note, the Well-Worn Blindfold needed to complete Collect Your Deck (Season 2) and fight the Blind Hero at the Brawler's Guild is confirmed to be found inside Darkmoon Game Prize.
Players get Darkmoon Game Prize from completing the following Darkmoon Faire dailies: He Shoots, He Scores!, It's Hammer Time, Target: Turtle, The Humanoid Cannonball, Tonk Commander

Only level 90 players can see the Well-Worn Blindfold: mail Darkmoon Game Prize to the right character before opening.

Your Brawler's Guild rank doesn't affect your chances at seeing this item. The resulting quest, Well-Worn Blindfold, unlocks the option to fight the Blind Hero on your entire account.

Many US players have reported CRZ issues with obtaining Well-Worn Blindfold. Switching servers can change the contents of Darkmoon Game Prize. Opening Darkmoon Game Prize outside of the Faire zone can also prevent Well-Worn Blindfold from showing up.

I went there at 8:30am EST on Sunday and there were 1,000 players there, constant trolling/spamming of /1, mount blocking NPCs, and no chance at bunny. Why would they do this? The idea of CRZ was supposed to be to make it seem like zones aren't deserted (right?)...so in this case, instead, they are making me avoid the faire entirely. CRZ makes sense for BGs, Dungeon Finder, and Raid Finder. World Event zones - not so much.Comment by rinkworksSeconded. CRZ on the Darkmoon Faire is a terrible idea, not the least of which was that the Faire was NEVER deserted in the first place! Well, I suppose it may well have been on other servers, but mine has always been plenty active enough. Only now it'll be a mess, instead of a manageable crowd.

I did wonder why it was so choked with people yesterday, but I figured that was just because it was the first day for this month. Apparently not.

I should add that I have never particularly been an anti-CRZ guy the way some passionately are. Darkmoon Island is already a really small place, and because of the limited duration of the faire, the fact that the quests are there for every level, the fact that it's neutral, and the collectible nature of the items available to grind out, when it's active it already funnels nearly the entire population of the server into this small space daily. Very poor planning, IMO.
