That sounds like this ingame browser will only be able to browse battle.net pages.Frankly, it's probably for the best. Any derived browser, whether it uses the IE or Gecko engine, can only suffer from being less secure than the actual browser, due to not being that customizable (adblock addons, for a start) and receiving updates far more rarely.
Interesting. might burn CPU like no tommorow (I know the Steam webrowser does)
Do I have to press Shift+Tab like Steam?Sounds neat, and hopefully is quicker or on par with Chrome or FF.
EVE online has a nice built-in browser that can go outside, I actually enjoyed using it more than alt+tabbing to firefox... On the other hand, EVE also used up both my monitors, so I couldn't have a browser on the secondary one...
Open up free browsing and we have a QoL improving feature.
Can't access wowhead from the in-game browser? Then what's the point?Cheers.
really cool ,would be amazing if we can surf through it aswell to the general web
As long as they don't blacklist wowhead, it'll be a good feature.
They should just add a browser that goes to wowhead. It would get so much use...
If you would have told me this a week ago, I would've thought it was part of April Fools.
Browser is a neat idea, though I'm not too excited for it. I use the enjin in game client for my browser business while on WoW.
DDO has done this for years, it works really well, and like WOW, was used primarily for support, but did allow other things.
Open up free browsing and we have a QoL improving feature.Nope. There are just too many security implications surrounding this to even think about. Alt+tab out.. set wow to run fullscreen windowed if you're concerned about the delay in swapping from fullscreen. :-)
And then make it so you can play hearthstone in wow through browser
This would be awesome if it were a fully functional browser. It would mean I'd no longer need to alt-tab to browse the web, and would never have to play in windowed mode to multi-task between gaming and web browsing.
Would be awesome if you could put wowhead into it, for quest help, etc
because alt+tabbing to windows and using the browser there is too much work!
I heard Windowed mode was a thing.
The end of GM chat support? Fail!
