Thought for a moment they might've improved rep (ie. put it back the way it was before they borked it) for the likes of Arathi and especially WSG but of course not.
I cant agree with u more, allthough i can understand the other guy's frustration.
Im going slightly off-topic here. They threw reputation gains through usage of Tabards out of the window with such a force that I believe it won't land until WoW 6.0 or 7.0. But no, they give you bonus reputation while doing 'roics of your choice. It was a big mistake to grind reputation on dailies in the first place.Heroics give people the necessary training of group fighting, while adaptation to LFR was minimal. Now you can get 496 gear without ever stepping into a dungeon, and then to progress you must go into LFR or worse, a full-scale Raid, and all those un-skilled but resilient and casual gamers (that can pull 40 dailies in a row) will hit a wall, and hit it HARD, after wiping N times in a Raid, until learning group 'dancing' again. I know this to be true because I felt like it.There is no point in going into PUGs if I can get gear only on dailies, but on the other hand, if I already hit PUGs on a regular basis, I shouldn't be punished by doing dailies over and over again just to get reputation with the factions that sell the gear. They should have kept the reputation tabards mechanics for people that go on Heroics, and Raids. I hate dailies from the bottom of my soul, while I don't mind using a tabard and be forced to go in PUGs because a) I need the reputation of a faction; b) I need the training of fighting in group.People, wake up.What do you think will happen when 496 geared people that never went into PUGs decide they must raid without any experience of fighting in group. Rhetorical question, or course.Or is Blizz deliberately separating the group fighters, from the daily grinders? I see that as a serious issue, but nobody even mentioned it. People that saw dailies as good thing and came into the game because they can get geared alone, will be scared away or downright give up when they have to face a raid in order to progress. I feel this way now, but didn't in Cataclysm. Maybe it's just me. This reputation bonus is something that should never exist, specially because you can join an heroic on the last boss, win it, and go home, while tabards force you to go throughout entire fights and LEARN.
When I get home from work today, I'm going to pop open that special bottle of wine I got for Christmas and celebrate the rep changes. That's been my least favorite part of MoP.I don't mind it too much, but it will be really nice to speed it up. Even if the stuff you get will outdated. Doesn't matter to me, as I plan on doing dailies and dungeons, not Raids.Cheers.

If you read what it says, you'd realize that the Champion is just like a Tabard run; if you want the full amount of Rep, you need to clear out the entire dungeon.
Yeah, this is definitely a mixed bag. Although the rep increases are nice, they are now rendered near moot given stat inflation that makes them short stepping stones to items that are now far below what top LRF gives. Despite what they reason, having Raid Finder ilvls just one lvl below last tier's Heroic is completely unacceptable, and this is coming from someone who doesn't raid present tier! And having Sha-touched weapons now near worthless mid expansion just hits the nail in the coffin. Its like mid-cata all over again. I'd like my legendary quest rewards to at least last near the end of the expan!Did... you not read? Originally they intended ToT LFR to award i496 gear, with normal dropping i509. However, they list a few valid arguments as to why that wasn't a good idea, and I for one agree. Normally i509 would be logical for next tier (Blizz usually increases by 13 iLvls). However, alot of people i know - myself included - have upgraded a few of their i496 gear to i504 gear. It's not very rewarding to enter a new raiding tier and see your gear increase a mere 5 iLvls.Reputation bonuses are nice. It's funny that you complain about LFR gear being too strong, then downplay the importance of VP gear. How does one get into 5.2 LFR without an average iLvl of 480? Oh, hello short stepping stones! Guess you're a little more useful than we originally thought! As for the Legendary... your Sha weapon is not the Legendary. Nowhere does Blizzard say that it is or will ever be. The Legendary rewards are just little celebratory items to tide you over until the actual Legendary is released. Granted, I too thought that the Legendary would be something we were going to keep with us and enhance throughout the expansion, but I threw that idea out the moment I saw the gem rewards. This is coming from someone who doesn't raid present tier kinda sums you up nicely, in my opinion.Great, an elitist that categorizes people's opinions on how a person plays. Derogatory remarks only show how biased your thoughts are, when you put down any sort of logic given, simply by what a person does. I suppose if an average Joe said 2+2=4, you'd say his logic in that is faulty because he's not a mathematician .... The irony is when several comments before mine said similar things, yet you skip them all and criticize me...Yes, I did read the blue posts. In fact, I wrote right after I saw it. If Blizzard had just kept the upgrade system, we could have the normal upgrade of over 10 ilvls. Is that not why upgrading was introduced, to keep more hardcore people playing by week, uping their raid gear just a tid-bit of ilvls instead of having to do dailies? How would ToT be any different? They don't need to change the difficulty of normal and heroic to what they have at present simply because those who are prepared (as hardcore raiders) are expected to have the upgrades. Those that don't can still play up gradually to make it easier, at least, if the upgrade system was kept.I never said anything about the weapon itself, rather the gems, which cannot be socketed into new weapons. By tossing the weapon for lack of ilvls, you toss the legendary gems (It doesn't matter if you get more, since they are useless). That's what I'm afraid of, where we cannot use what we have earned in such a fast pace. Taregosa's Rest was still useful enough for the next expansion raid tier, so why can't GEMS keep up, especially when we can buy more!My LFR inflation concerns when that requirements of 480 is met (which is relatively easy even for casuals to get eventually), as the valor we gain after is next to useless, and dailies no longer have worth except for vanities, etc.... I understand and like the lessening of daily quest importance, but not the increasing worthlessness mid-expansion. The truth is, I actually wouldn't have a problem with this, if they kept the upgrade system to instead put the valor in! For the hardcores, this is even more of a problem since they won't have much use for valor at all. No upgrading, and little items to spend on. Its just like JP 2.0 now.
Sad to lose weapons, I too hoped for something that would eventually evolve to a personal legendary, as it was theorycrafted upon datamining current damn Relic Hunter weapon procs. But just like Tarecgosers did fairly well in DS, I believe those who have(or will have) heroic Sha-touched weapons with both sockets in, it's still 524ilvl+660 keystat, which beats ~530ilvl. Although raw weapon damage may take over, and tarecgosers played out their procs.I just wonder what will be Blizzard's final approach towards legendaries in last chapter. I mean, sure we can first swing a fancy shadow's edge-like placeholder, then wear a meta-gem, then something in 5.3. But will we ACTUALLY have a legendary item in this expansion?Giving a person legendary seems a bit too much, but that's how it goes so far - everyone has access to it. And it would seem anti-climatic if, for example, hunters would get some peashooter from Wrathion to headshot Garrosh. I might dream that maybe we could in the end combine all our so far found pieces (even if it would cost to buy new sha socket, meta socket, prismatic socket etc) and merge it into some trinket-like stuff. No need to worry about weapon damage and much balance, easy to pop custom class-specified effect and give some share of stats. We didn't have trinkets, and as much crazy as I am, combining gems into a jewelry piece isn't that retarded. It's also annoying that so much of sigils are wasted. Even when I, along with other "first-to-get" sha socket people, farmed for last Wisdom ones, I had well about 20 Power sigils(I just kept deleting them). My alt who has barely dinged Honored with BP has about 15 of both. Why do we have to pay 9k for a new socket, if he could give a repetitive quest, which requires 10 sigils and chimera of fear? Sure, add 1-2k to that, but that's at least not a wasted effort with less overall monetary loss?Or they just can't find MORE goldsinkers?
Has there been any indication of an indicator that indicates (hah!) whether or not you have purchased the Grand Commendation for the Pandaren factions?
Great with farm Reputation with Alt Char's =)Cheer.
Well, I sure hope Blizz comes around with a plan to improve Sha-touched weapons even further..., Hope 5.2 weapons act as a substitute in case ppl are unlucky enough not to have won a Sha weapon, but the Sha gem + prism socket should make up for having lower item lvl. What could be done is that along the legendary chain Wrathion found a way to increase the ilvl of those weapons even further... say +20 lvls, or maybe increase the cap for upgrades on Sha weapons, 2 more upgrades per patch, just to keep the weapon competitive. Something significant that really makes a difference. Later on we'll prolly see the legendary enchant that was mentioned some time ago.I hope the Valor cap and reward is increased... I mean, just 1k per week means that you spend 3 weeks saving up for some pieces (legs, chest, etc) and 80 valor per random dungeon ONCE A DAY? man that sucks. What about ppl who can't play eveyr day? they are forced to grind dailies or do tons of randoms to be able to cap valor. Increasing the valor gains to twice the current ammount wouldn't be a bad idea. 10 valor per daily quest, 160 per random heroic, etc. Would make capping alts much more possible and not so aggravating... is such a burden right now.
this is verry helpfull info thankyou. i just got exalted with the tillers. so i will soon be doing this.
So what if any are the rewards if you are already Exalted with all of these Factions?
Draztal also clarifies: "In order to use the Work Orders in Sunsong Ranch, you need to be exalted with The Tiillers and all plots unlocked, but it's not required to own Sunsong. Work orders will be available for most 5.0/5.1 factions, but it will most likely not include Black Prince."While this is a nice idea, in practice it appears you DO need to own your farm to get the dailies to show u (at least this was the case for me). Get the quest Inherit the Earth from Nana Mudclaw fly down talk to farmer yoon, and turn it in and you're good to go.
