It would be nice if the holiday now featured Pandaren Elders as well as a few new items.
It would be nice if the holiday now featured Pandaren Elders as well as a few new items. Why though? The entire thing is about the original win against the Burning Legion during the War of the Ancients....and the Pandarens did not join in that war.
I tried to jazz things up and put more pictures of fireworks and RP dresses this year--I know there aren't a *ton* of changes :PI like it. The picture at the top with the night elf woman is really pretty. Sad there aren't any Pandaria elders, since that would totally make sense. :(

is there really no other elders than the ones in guide? i only need 6 more coins to be able to buy another petDo you have a semi-high level on the opposite faction? Or another high level toon? If so, just do the grind again on them and you'll get a second pet since they are account bound.
It appears that for 2013, it is not possible to complete the Honoring the Elders quests for any of the Elders who are in the Cataclysm zones. I visited the 4 Cataclysm Elders located on Kalimdor, and none offered me a quest. So that will limit the number of coins you can earn this year, if you already completed the Cataclysm Elders last year. Note that you can re-complete all of the other Classic-content Elders. I have not yet tried any of the Northrend Elders. Hopefully Blizzard will "fix" this quickly, for the 2013 Lunar Festival, so that *all* Elders can be visited every year for the coin quests.
Elder Splitrock in Maraudon is NOT in the tunnel between Tinkerer Gizlock and Rotgrip as listed above, he's ALLLLLLL the way at the very end of the dungeon. Look him up here on Wowhead for more info.
Holiday origins aside, I'm not all that surprised that Pandaren elders aren't included this year, for the same reason Pandarens weren't involved in Brewfest -- they're still new to the rest of Azeroth. Seems reasonable that they wouldn't be as involved during the first year, and maybe by next year we'll be able to acknowledge their ancestors along with the others, even if for different reasons.
it was to Celebrate the win of the Burning legion Pandaren Monks Were around at the time but as pets they were added in wow 3 so more Elders could be added in Pandaria its a loophole and they should be added
Wow. Nothing new. Thanks Blizzard.
Really? So why did they improve upon this at all? Are you stupid? Yes you're stupid.
This entire festival looks like a massive waste of time.
Please fix the Maraudon listing - going by just this list had me running around the whole instance trying to find Tinkerer Gizlock, only to find that the guy was nowhere near his current location. :(
For Astral Wow Cataclysm...Elder Starweave has been moved to Ruins of Auberdine. (Approx. 38, 44)
Elder Highpeak's coordinates are slightly off. The coordinates I found him at were 50.0, 48.0. :)

I also wish they'd fix some of the elder placements that got messed up with Cata (Razor Hill's FP is right on top of the elder there).
That would make sense except they added Taunka and Earthen Dwarf elders in Northrend.Technically all of the Dwarf Elders should be Earthen since those were the ones who fought back in the War of the Ancients as the Curse of Flesh hadn't affected the Dwarves yet.
Elder Splintrock is in Maraudon but not at the location listed, at least for Cataclysm. He is at approximately 43, 81 near some Primordial Behemoths on a bridge. Took me forever to find him so I hope this helps someone.
