I don't understand why people hate dailies either, they're fun! I did all mine every day as soon as I was 90 (monk 90, Thursday after launch) and I'm exalted with everyone now. It only took about an hour a day to get them all done, gave great gold returns, and a ton of cool items/mounts. within 3 weeks I was exalted with nearly everyone. Not only do they switch up every day, but they're fun and great money! These aren't the dailies of old, there are fun mechanics, and awesome storyline, I'll never get tired of them.
I know! I love them too! ^_^ Don't understand why people hate them, questing is fun! much better than pvp. Pvp is laaame.
Just wht we need MORE dailies! FML
Oh good, more dailies, I haven't not had enough fun since MoP came out. More dailies should fix that right up for me.It's good to know that Blizzard truly has its fingers on the pulse of its player-base though.
Ugh too many dailies! Plz no moreD:
How can people not understand the dailies hate? It's a monotonous tedium that is not enjoyable (unless you're one of those people who love EVERYTHING to be on a tight routine). OK, you might not get the exact same dailies, but how many times can you kill X or loot Y (seriously, depending on the day you can kill between 8 and 60 mogu for Golden Lotus). There are some people who only get a chance to play for a couple of hours a day (you know, those of us who work for a living) and don't want to spend precious time doing the daily grind. Yes, they CAN get their VP and gear from other sources, but running LFR each week in the hope of loot (2 characters, 4 weeks, 5 lfr each, 0 loot) is painful. Plus, you need the rep to buy stuff (and to get SP/AC rep you do NEED to unlock golden lotus). Not to mention that if you have a profession you NEED the rep for patterns. Oh, you don't need the patterns since someone else can make them? Well yes, but on a low-pop server, good luck finding someone online, who isn't charging the earth (the weapon enchants on our server were 1k+mats). Yes, others will have those patterns, but why should I pay them every time I get a new weapon/wrist on all my characters? Then, as people have mentioned, some people raid and need gear for raiding. Then you get people like me - Levelled a monk and did all the rep and gearing, thought the toon sucked so rerolled. Got that one from 85-90, did all the gearing and rep up to exalted to get the Ring/Neck for free. 5.1 came out and I did all those, to replace the last blue items since I had fallen behind in the gear. Then we didn't need 3 healers, so I started on my Mage. Got it to 90, and had to gear up ASAP to start raiding, which meant dailies. To those who say "you have to work for your epics now", that is bollocks. Cata still had a VP cap, you were still limited to how much gear you could get. The only difference is the rep requirement, and good luck getting any decent pre-raid gear without it (obviously now with LFR you can get 483 easily enough, but before HoF/Terrace opened it was just MV with its 476). Besides which, grinding out dailies does not count as "work". It doesn't imply that you put in any extra effort, or that you are better than other players, just that you have more time to waste. Need Black Prince rep? Well, yes you CAN get the rep without dailies. But let's look at that - would you really be running around at level 90 killing countless mobs for a single rep if you WEREN'T doing dailies? In short, dailies are a means to an end, and the majority of players feel forced to do them. Will I do the new dailies? Yes, but in short only because they will offer gear and other items. Will I feel as though logging on is a chore? Yes, yes and more yes. The ONLY way I can see to make dailies not feel like a chore, is to make them chockers-full of good lore, and to implement them as part of an attunement (an easier one for LFR and one for normal raids, to keep the absolute tards out of LFR.. like even if the attunement is to watch a video of the fights while not standing in the BIG PATCHES OF FIERY DEATH). Oh, and make lfr 15m because 23 retards in a raid is too much... TL:DR - Dailies suck, we're practically forced to do them for progression, people who like dailies are weird and must love having their lives set to a routine, attunements rule, LFR is full of retards. Oh, and give resto shammy's a bubble on overheals imo...
I love dailies, but god damn! I personally think there are far too many already.
I agree with pretty much everything Tuckletuts said.I will never understand why grinding seems to have become an expected and widely considered integral part of MMOs. I've been around since BC, so trust me when I tell you that I know about grinding (blah blah blah Vanilla was better, idc). I'm so sick of hearing "Oh these poor kids are just crying that gear is no longer a handout." Do you play WoW for a living or something? IT'S A GAME PEOPLE. I have real life to fulfill my "need" for boredom and monotony. And don't tell me that I don't have to do them. Well, you do if you want to raid. The LFR loot system is an infuriating joke. I would rather lose loot to a ninja then have the system decide that today just wasn't my day. The old system was FAR more satisfying. Plus, when most of the players were ahead of you, people wouldn't roll on your loot as much and you had a better chance of winning it. I can go through a month doing all 5 LFRs and get absolutely no loot whatsoever. I've literally looted one thing from LFR. A chestplate. Well, that's great, because I JUST BOUGHT ONE. I wouldn't have rolled on it Cataclysm, but today I have no choice. Remember grinding Black Temple for the warglaives then having the MH one drop twice? Same concept. My point is that everyone's argument usually consists of these arguments: "dailies aren't mandatory," "dailies are fun for me, therefore they're fun for everyone else," and/or "you have to 'work' to get the gear." As you can see in my post and Tuckletuts' post, that's not necessarily the case. On another note, I can appreciate dailies when they're a means to get vanity items. That makes some sense. But effectively barring players from the largest part of the end-game content (all the while claiming that dailies are optional) with these grinds is almost insulting. And don't tell me that LFR is the same as organized raiding. I will find you and I will smack you.
lol At the people saying "Dailies are optional".Sure, my hoof they are. They're optional if you want to spend 3 months to get ilv 480 after hitting 90. The serious PvE players have to do the dailies to gear up - they're equivalent to LFR. It's like doubling your gear acquisitions.Maybe if you log on once a week just to run LFR and get 600 gold for the week you can be happy not doing any dailies. Who likes running LFR? It's slightly fun, but half the time you have to deal with people thinking that Garalon's purple circle is a buff for the main body, and AFK healers and DPS. It's also monotonous on many fights since the mechanics are non-existant and it's just a 350M HP burn down.Also...I laugh at the comments who say "Sorry you don't want to have a challenge to get geared". Really? Dailies are challenging? Who lied to you?Am I the only one who thinks all these silly daily grinds are because they have to dish out patches so quickly they can't put more than a super stretched out storyline over rep progression?
I do the same =)
