Flawless Battle-Stones upgrade pets to rare quality. There is a general-purpose stone (Flawless Battle-Stone) as well as stones that are family-specific.

Polished Battle-Stones upgrade pets to uncommon quality. There is a general-purpose stone, Polished Battle-Stone, which is available for 0 Justice Points.

When using a stone on a pet, their levels decrease in a similar manner to capturing a wild battle pet: no levels lost from 1-15, one level lost from 16-20, two levels lost from 21-25.

Epic battle stones were previously datamined, but aren't available on the PTR: Perfect Battle-Stones. Currently, while various Pet Tamers can have epic pet teams, players cannot.

Keep in mind that a pet's stat combination can affect its performance--it's not just rarity. So some uncommon-quality vendor pets with a strong stat combination might suddenly be in demand once they have a battle stone applied to it.

Flawless Battle-Stone is BoE and can be sold on the AH, but family-specific stones are BoP.

Flawless Battle-Stones can be acquired several ways:
Family-specific stones have a low chance to drop from pets of that same family, so Flawless Mechanical Battle-Stone could be acquired from battling Robo-Chick. Higher level pets have better droprates.

Polished Battle-Stone has a low chance to be acquired from all pets, with higher chances from high-level pets.

Family-specific stones also have a low chance to be in Sack of Pet Supplies from daily Pet Tamer quests. The type of stone you get is completely random.

I hope that with the inclusion of the additional sorting filters they will also fix my client's inability to even have the pets sorted by name to begin with. :( It's very tedious to weed out duplicates currently because I have to manually search them by name to have them consolidate.Comment by NulgarDatemining! :P

And also dont require much effort to finish. It also doesnt mention where the family specific stones comes from so its very possible that it would be much easier for you to just use a family specific one than to worry about jp geting an "all purpose" one.Comment by RinkotsuGoddamn it. I don't like that! No use of my farming rare when you can just "poop" it with stone...meh :(Comment by regmaWhile Im sure some might like the stones and all. I rather farm for the rarer ones instead of upgrading them. It's almost like me using a Rare candy to increase my Pokemon's lvl.

As for the journ upgrades. I think that's nice as well as the map showing the lvls. I had to guess some in order to figure out the lvls.Comment by darkrunedkI can't wait for this new patch to come. The lesser Charms takes all of my space, and I really want the quallity indicator in-game, without any need of addons.
