RemovedAbsolutely ecstatic to see the promised fel fire is being added!
GODDAMN! Can't describe the feel! So much excited, goddamn!
I want to do this quest chain, but I feel like I'm the only Warlock that does not want Green-fire.
i hope more classes get there own scenario, because i think a death knight one would be pretty awesomeeven though i'm really disappointed that only locks get to experience black temple again(freaking awesome lv 70 raid with awesome well know npcs)well i guess i need to make a lock lol
Dk's do have their own scenario , it's called ...Their Starting Area! >.> deal with it
This is amazing. And here I thought mop would be horrible, generic and boring but blizz really are doing some creative things like all those expansion(multiple-patch) wide questlines.
DKs had their starting area, though. It would be a cool dk questline none the less. On the other hand, Black Temple's tier was such a long one in TBC that I hardly even miss it. The longest gap in wow history(after the 4.3 - mop one, of course).
I want green Fire
So you mean our demonic familiars are FINALLY actually going to fulfill the role of a familiar instead of just standing there and attacking when ordered?
I remember in Vanilla the quest chain to obtain our mount, was definitely fun. It wound up being more than just buying the standard mount, but worth it.Then running through the Deathmist quest chain, again a lot of fun. I had better gear at the time, but still, fun.I enjoy these kinds of quests and will likely pursue this chain. I enjoy WoW but in 6 (Or is it 7 now?) years of playing, only having a few of these brilliant quest chains inevitably leads me to play single player RPG's. (With exception to Bioware's SWTOR, it did a bloody amazing job in their single player leveling story dynamics.)Good to see a new chain for lock-power. You might have noted from above, that I did those two major quest lines while there were better/more efficient options. I did so because I enjoyed them. But... I am a bit bored of these great quest lines with a reward that's purely cosmetic. (Dreadsteed = cosmetic, Deathmist even at the time was only tier .5 and most locks had full T1 or Demoniac's.) so while I like the idea of green fire, I also remember a time when green fire meant something. If a chaos bolt was flying at you, it meant CHAOS energy was coming at you, and you should be scared, because it could pierce anything. Resistance really was futile for a short time. I wish they had gone a different route instead of normalization. We're trying to acquire more power, and harness chaos energy, and there's no real bonus to it? This is one of those times that I really get dismayed at MMO's (Namely WoW) and their almost cowardly attempts to normalize (Bastardize) everything.I might enjoy the quest line, but when the rewards don't approach anything near the fluff, it leaves a bitter after taste, and I start looking at other games with a real feeling of achievement. (Not bloody Achievement "points"...)For instance, I'll shoot some !@#$ here... Imagine if we had a toggle that infused our spells with Chaos energy (Forgetting our normal Chaos spells for the moment) that made every spell take a certain amount of health, but added a new component to the spell. Damage, or like Chaos energy should, piercing (Bite me Mass Spell Reflect) wouldn't that be neat? And worth doing the quest chain for? It's really not that hard to imagine, over the years there have been iterations of warlocks using life to power our spells. Chaos Bolts pierced once upon a time. I'm not asking to be OP, I *expect* balancing to take a place, (Frankly Destro locks are in a good place right now anyways) I know there's a cost for harnessing Chaos. There should be. And that's part of the fun.Make the quest line one of the toughest single player achievements possible, show who's a real lock, and who isn't. Make us use Enslave Demon, give me a reason to use Unending Breath, *force* me to summon my Abyssal/Infernal or fail. Show the true scope of what a warlock can attain.Give me a fight that I can only win with a soulstone. It shouldn't take 25 people to make a reward worthwhile, single player challenges can be just as difficult. Lok'n'Rhok'Delar was a rite of passage for hunters once upon a time. I remember hopping factions to curse my hunter friend against one of the demons that feared with Recklessness so he was immune.Blizz, let me show you, what a Warlock, can do.
I also did the quest-chain for the epic mount. I still have fond memories of my entire guild getting slaughtered cause we didn't realize that Doom Lord Kazack had spawned. :) I love the idea of another epic quest line. I just wish I didn't have to wait on 2 other people to drop a magic wardrobe. :( I just need one other to use it, why not just one other to summon it? And why do mages get a spell power AND crit buff while we get only spell power? Dark intent used to give spell haste, why not a spell power AND spell haste buff? Just sayin. ;P
So you get green fel fire?As an Affliction favoring Warlock, i would do it if Affliction gets Shadow Bolt back.
It's not a class legendary....it's better...
@Dalakarr, As a wow player who started out playing a warlock I agree 100% with your post. These are some really fantastic ideas you have that truly outline what it is like to really know your class. A true test of your abilities and understanding of being a warlock. Maybe you should be a Dev. :)
..so are other classes gonna get neat things too? :(pallies/hunters/priests should at least get stuff to replace their old epic questlines!
As someone who mained a warlock for a long time, I never cared about green fire. But Warlocks finally getting something that is just theirs that doesn't have dumb looking exaggerated spikes or sand people masks? I'm all over that!Blizz giving me another reason to get my Warlock to 90...
disgusting, been waiting 8 years for this, if only we could choose our color... purple would be badass
Hope they make a tempest keep one for Mages. :D
