We will be releasing a patch on Wednesday October, 10 beginning at 8:30 a.m. PDT to resolve an issue that could sometimes prevent players from interacting correctly with in-game objects.

As the patch is relatively small, patching time should be minimal. See you in Pandaria!

Valor of the Ancients and Elder Charm of Good Fortune

Valor of the Ancients: All characters on that realm now earn 50% more Valor Points when one character is capped. However, the maximum cap is now 3,000 Valor Points, down from 4,000. This is great for alts or players who aren't sure what character they want to commit to more in early Mists. With account-wide achievements, it's great to have multiple characters geared enough to swap into raids to fill a needed role.

Elder Charm of Good Fortune: Whenever you kill a raid boss, a UI window will ask if you want to spend a Elder Charm of Good Fortune on an extra roll. You will get another shot at the boss' loot table and win something extra--gold, gems, flasks, and possibly epic loot for your spec. 3 can be acquired each week from Elder Charms of Good Fortune, and Lesser Charm of Good Fortune can be acquired from completing daily quests. You can have 10 Elder Charm of Good Fortune at a time and these can be used on any boss encounter--LFR, Normal, Heroic, World Bosses.

It's just one end of the spectrum, and neither outcome will happen every time. Especially with how loot is supposed to be handled in LFR this tier. I dunno, exchange them for JP/Honor/VP/Conquest, ect. Or just simply gold, or mats, anything really. The wording to me is confusing, though I believe I know what it's meant, I would like to confirm it.

Scenarios:

First time in the week, we get 30 valor
Every time after, we get 15 valor
Resets every week

Heroics:

First time in the day, we get 60 valor
Every time after that day, we get 30 valor
Resets every day

I don't have time every day to log on (around 3 am due to my time zone) and pray I have guildies on for a heroic sprint.
