Tol Barad and Wintergrasp ConcernsWe unfortunately didn’t identify some of the issues with these PvP zones because these areas didn’t see much activity during the beta testing period. An early bug allowed players from multiple realms to participate in Tol Barad and Wintergrasp battles, or quest in these zones in between battles; however, this has been addressed and these zones should never be coalesced. We’ll consider offering full CRZ functionality for these zones in a future patch when we can solve some of the logistical issues coalescing initially brought about.Stranglethorn Fishing ExtravaganzaIn the case of the weekly Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza, we also found that players from other realms were able to jump to a realm in a different time zone to get a head start on fishing, allowing them to win their home realm’s tournament as soon as it began. This isn’t fair for anyone and will require some new tech on our end to ensure the integrity of timed competitions. Unfortunately, this change will require a client-side patch, so we are disabling the fishing tournaments until we can deliver the fix for them in a future patch.Ignoring or Reporting a Player from Another RealmWe understand that players want to be able to ignore and report players from other realms, and we’re working to identify and correct any issues currently preventing this. We take harassment very seriously, and if another player is harassing you, you can submit a ticket so that we can investigate your report. Cross-Realm /who RequestsThis is something we’d like to do, and we’re looking into it.Realm “Hopping” by Changing Party LeadersWhile it might sound like fun to go exploring in other realms by changing party leaders, this was not intended, and allowed some players to take advantage of bosses such as the Darkmoon Rabbit and challenges such as the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza. As such, we’ve made a fix that will stop groups from being able to do this.Chat, Achievement, Skill SpamWe’re aware of chat, achievements, skills, and World Defense announcements being spammed in cross-realm zones and are working on a solution for this. We agree: it’s annoying.Found Other Bugs? Every bit of assistance you can offer us in tracking down bugs and squashing them would be invaluable. After reading this, if you’re experiencing any issues with CRZ that pretty clearly seem unintended, please provide us as much detail as possible on the Bug Report forum. If you’re curious as to what entails a “good” bug report, please read this simple, yet effective guide.
I am just wondering how CRZ improves leveling experience. This morning stopped playing because it took me more than an hour to do 3 quests in Silithus due to lack of mobs..... whereas before it would have takent me 15-20 tops.. Must have been more than 20 people doing them, farmers, levelers alike. No i can see what they want to do, but it doesn't work at all
I absolutely hate Cross Realm Zones. If this is the future of WoW ... then WoW is no longer in my future.
I like the experience of low pop zones. It's not so much that I'm completely antisocial, but low pop zones make the world seem bigger and more natural. Now that is gone and I'm less than impressed with this heavy concentration of annoying people. Guess I'm over it.
I have to say, my realm is a low pop PvE realm, so I'm used to Durotar and Orgrimmar being mostly empty, with the introduction of CRZ, Orgrimmar is (for obvious reasons) no different, but Durotar is rammed. This has its ups and downs;Pros- More going on, duels conversations, raid groups etc.- More diversity in players, for the most part, my realm has 2 or 3 big guilds and lots of little ones. Now there is a crazy amount of large guilds to integrate with and talk to.- Even on my PvE server, there has spawned a mass of World PvP, in Durotar and The Dark Portal, just the other day, 3 full xrealm raid groups from ally side attacked Orgrimmar, the resulting battle lasted nigh on an hour and was a lot of fun, even for the PvE'ersCons- My hardware is pretty sucky for the most part, Durotar with that many people causes my computer stress it doesn't like. Not completely making the game unplayable, but a considerable drop in frame rate.- The spam. Oh god the spam, xrealmers in /y trying to make groups for ICC when no one wants to go, for example. Though I can see this as a minor for the most part.- PvP realms, I can see a lot of issues spawning regarding people getting "ganked" whilst levelling, for example, I have a friend who plays a PvP realm who tells me The Dark Portal is a kill zone.On the whole, I welcome the new feature and I love the new opportunities it brings to low population realms such as mine, I do feel however that there are some issues, as stated above. Any opinions on what I have said are welcome, I just figured it was worth throwing in my 2 cents on the feature.XytrixzAzjol Nerub EUEDIT: Typos. Typos everywhere.
I'm having a real problem with the "phasing" part of this. Last night I was out with my guild buddy doing some gathering and (after being attacked 3 times by players ganking low level questers for no reason) all of a sudden she disappeared. We hadn't changed zones, we just ran across some invisible line and suddenly we couldn't communicate or interact or see each other. This happened several times in different zones and it's INCREDIBLY ANNOYING. Sorry for the caps, but it really is infuriating, partly because of the gankers who take advantage of anyone they find out questing or gathering by themselves. I don't mind occasional pvp. I'm on a pvp server after all and it happened to me often enough while I was leveling. But in the past, I've usually had a choice about it. Now, I don't. I feel like that choice has been taken away from me and unless I really want to battle all the time over everything everywhere, I have no choice but to sit in Stormwind or some other city. The scarcity of materials can be easily addressed in CRZ; eventually things will even out and people will get used to it. But offering jerks yet another opportunity to make gameplay hell for everyone else was a mistake. I can't believe Blizzard did not KNOW that this would happen. I watched level 14-15 players being tormented continuously by level 85 gankers yesterday. Nobody could quest, nobody could gather. Literally everyone was driven away from the zone by these few players who were simply there to harass. They were not getting anything out of except for the (really stupid) thrill of being a pain in the butt to low level players, many of whom were probably new to the game - the gankers got no "honor" for it, no rewards. This is not "World PVP". It's harassment, plain and simple. And we have no choice but to endure it. It was bad enough before on pvp servers; now it's intolerable.I know the general thought is "Oh it'll die down after a while and the gankers will get tired of it and go do something else." This is not true. As long as they are able to do this, it will continue. There will always be a new crop of idiots who think this is what the game is about. There will always be the old idiots who get bored and think "Hey, let's go wipe out the lowbies again!" and head for a zone where they can sit and make the game hell for other new players. If this is what was originally intended for this game to be, I think it's time to go elsewhere. I can deal with the economic woes in my realm. I can deal with occasional warfare on a wide scale (I love the late night raids on Stormwind that turn into epic battles - those are exciting and fun!) I can deal with glitches and bugs and I can even deal with run ins with idiots once in a while. That's not what's happening here. We tried three different zones last night and the same thing was happening in each one. It bothered me more due to the fact that my helper/friend who was with me - and she was there partly because we KNEW the gankers were out in force - kept DISAPPEARING! What good does it do me to take a friend along for help if she's going to disappear when I run forward a few yards? We never knew when it was going to happen and it made the whole evening a nerve wracking, not-fun-at-all experience. I've seen numerous complaints about this in several forums, but I haven't read a single word from ANYONE about a solution - whether it comes from Blizzard or other players. And before anyone starts blathering on about "ur on a pvp server dude quit QQ and learn ur class" - I'm geared okay, I run battlegrounds with my guild, and I've managed to kill the last three players that attacked me (yesterday) with no problem. I love this game and I'm willing to put up with quite a lot in order to play. But this is a real problem and I don't see any help in view. Most of the people who play on low pop servers are there for a reason. Nothing was broken but we got an attempt to "fix" things and now they really ARE broken. Sorry this is so long, but you know what? I keep talking to people, asking questions, talking some more and I've not run into one person who thinks this is all "okay". This is my third attempt to explain the problem. I don't know what else to do.
Thanks to crz, I am unable to complete my quests or even make bags. I am guild mum to two guilds and also make bags for friends. I am unable to do this because of so many people out farming. I haven't been able to level my toons or my profs because of the fighting to kill mobs and farm mats. This is nothing short of frustrating, and if this does not change I will be cancelling my WoW subscriptions. I too paid good money to leave a high pop server and move where I am. So basically Bliz took my money and now I'm stuck with the same issues I had before. I am no longer having fun. Everyone that I know on my server is having the same issues. Bags are basic to all players. I'm not trying to make money - just trying to help my guild members and friends out. There are no bags in the AH, because guess what! nobody can farm the cloth to make them.
If you are attempting to make Pandaria bags....CRZ isn't active in those zones. If you are attempting to make any other bags, and depending on your class, you should be able to solo instances and gather up the mats that way, without having anyone else after 'your mats'.
I really hate the CRZ. I enjoyed playing in a low population zone.I have to compete for every quest. Questing has turned into a rat race of who has the fastest mount and fastest kill to complete the quest and be able to move on without waiting.
