Wow, thank goodness! Very useful.
Now for the ability to create Friends List categories so I can send a broadcast to the friends that are Raiders and not the entire list... In other words, broadcast to the "preferred raiders" then to the rest of the list.
Yay! Been hoping for this feature for a very long time =)
I only give my RealID to people I know in real life, not just through a game, so I don't have too hard of a time keeping the list neat; it only gets annoying when people decide to have full conversations over the broadcast system rather than in whispers or a group conversation. My battletag friends are people I don't know personally but became good friends with in game. Since you are allowed to separate the two, I think you should be able to appear offline to one but not the other.
This will come in handy when you just want to do your own thing :)
I think it's a useful tool, though I doubt I'll personally use it much. I think the thing I enjoy about the game most is chit chatting with my friends while I play.
I am so glad to finally see this get implemented. There are days that all you want to do is run around Azeroth quietly and not have to put a DND button on all the time.
This is actually a very welcome update for me. Sometimes I just want to relax in a game without needing to talk with people. It has actually prevented me from playing Blizzard's games sometimes, so a big thank you-hug for this :)
It's about time!
Another in the list of things blizzard said they'd never do.
This is kind of lame. I get the need to sometimes do things by yourself, but put yourself as busy, and ignore any whispers. This is a damn MMO, not solitaire
Why would anyone complain about this new option? If you don't like it, DON'T USE IT! Simple, eh? Personally, I like having the option of appearing offline, because sometimes I just don't feel like chatting. Thank you, Blizzard!
