I like it.
I didn't originally go into LFR expecting any cifference to 384 for the entire raid and It was quite suprising that Deathwing had 390 gear. After I got used to it however It does feel like an entire raid in LFR having the same Ilvl of gear first boss to last is a step backwards for everyone who uses LFR as their sole means of raiding.
Just realize that some raiding groups have some "slow starters" who need LFR encounters to practice in order for the team to succeed and progress through normal and heroic. Think of it in terms of a remedial algebra course in college. The students who need that class are still smart enough to make it through the "normal" content of a college degree, they just need a bit of a push to get going.
I think this will be good. You will gather experience in LFR to make the Raiding easier. But I would like the LFR raids to only be able to do one each week. For example, week 1 of LFR you can do Terrace of Endless Spring and the next week you can do Heart of Fear , and NOT both Raids the same week. Then the gearing still will take some time, and tthe players wont get so tired of the raids.
The only problem i find with LFR is when people in the group need on the items when they already have them or have better which is unfair maybe the spec you queue as if you have the item already and need again the roll is between 1-100 and if not 100-200, Or even an offspec roll key.
@ ZynesteCoAexcept that there will be no rolling anymore in LFR.
There are still rolls on Trash loot, and some decent stuff does drop. But last time i was in MoP lfr the boss drops were just given to players without a roll. And there is no trading it, it is bop.Other players still throw fits though lol
The problem is the fact that you can get tier pieces from LFR. As long as you have that, there will be a need for everyone to run LFR until they have 4 set.I do like these changes though.
Changing how we get gear in the LFR with the new roll system is fine for me. I don't mind running a LFR with those in Heroic DS gear now, I just have an issue when they roll on gear I actually need as an upgrade and they don't because they either a) have the same gear, but a heroic version, b) helping someone they're running with get it, or c) rolling need on everything they can just to trade at the end for gear they are really after. Lowering the ilvl even more for newer LFRs in comparison to JP/VP or Normal/Heroic raiding gear is not cool, especially if that LFR gear will no longer be on par with the normal raiding gear. Not everyone has the chance to run normal raids, as they take time to set up, A LOT more coordination than LFR does, and is something fairly quick (que times differ) to run during our spare time. I know that gear will be upgradable in the 5.1 patch with VPs, with is something I'm really looking forward to, but don't screw over the casual gamer with crappy gear in the LFRs. Lower ilvl versions is fine, just don't nerf them so bad that it will drive players away from that system entirely thus lengthening que times.
Ppl will always run lfr due to trinkets which are a pain in tha a** to drop.
LFR gear will still be an upgrade from heroic dungeon gear, and normal raiding gear will be an upgrade from LFR (as it was in 4.3).
make them share a lockout problem solved
