There are actually ten tamable colors of Quilen in the MoP beta! And while there are only three tamable colors of Water Strider on live, MoP release will bring that up to fourteen. Six colors for Goats, and six for Cranes.http://wow-petopia.com/pandaria/pandaria.html
After the big cataclysm changes it took me a long time to enjoy playing my hunter again. They screwed with the core mechanics, took away a bunch of stuff, and overall I felt very gimped. I'm psyched that when 5.04 hit and I logged on to my hunter I didn't feel even a bit of that "oh crap I need to learn to play my class all over again." Instead I found that my sv spec worked mostly the same with an improvement to the lock n' load mechanic, and I've got two more awesome dps cooldowns that really seem to spice up my pve priority. I'm excited for the new skills, I can't wait to get my hands on some new pets, and aside from the freakishly huge horns on the tier helmet I'm liking the direction they're taking the hunter armor sets. All in all I can't wait for MoP to ship so I can really get back to watching things die from a good safe distance(to borrow a lyric from Tool).
Pvp sets should be more ''PvP''Hunter for example had to shown a bit more.. sneaky!
Most exciting update here for me, tameable goats!
I hate pretty much every tier of hunter gear. All my transmogs are from greens.Werd. I looked back on past teirs and found nothing I liked. T7 helm and shoulders were alright as were T10 shoulders (very similar) but not for permenant.I'm rolling with my engineer goggles and some quest reward shoulders. I've found I like a smaller, cleaner look on all my characters not to mention the shoulders clip and I don't like that.Almost like Blizz designs mimics a deer's antlers. As time goes on they just get bigger and bigger."What should the T15 shoulders look like?""Big?""Well that's a given, the bigger the better. Like akwardly big. Like Ripley's big.""OK, skulls?""Done that""Spikes?""Old""Flames?""Com'on give me something new""Umm... how about giant flaming skulls with spikes coming from them?""Make it 3 skulls and 7 spikes with extra flames and we've got a plan. I want it to look like the shoulders would hurt you every time you moved. Just make sure the helmet is uglier than the shoulders and we're set."
I like the overall look of the sets... but put a gigantic skull in the shoulder? It's not like we are Death Knights and all...And if you didn't think its gigantic, try previewing how it'll look on a Worgen first.lol Holy crap, Most of the shields I have on my Tauren Pally are smaller than the shoulder carbuncle. All in all I fell back in love with hunters midway through Cata, and from what I've seen so far in MoP that is going to continue.
All I'm gonna say is... thank goodness for transmogging... :/
Not only will my DK wear a skirt.. my hunter is going to look like a mountain goat too? :O
Hmm I like the PVE and PVP sets but I'm not a fan of the challenge mode set. I'm not into the whole "earthen brown and green" combination, those colours remind me of low levelled gear or starter gear from many games. The wolf head is a bit cool but again we've been given an a-symmetrical set and one that does not wow me enough for a challenge mode gold award. The helm is what I call a "bald helm" in that there's no real defining features on it. Just a few spikes and overall it's pretty rounded. I much prefer helms that have a bit more to them which the other 2 sets have.I know hunters are supposed to be all camouflaged when stalking the animals in the forest and show their trophies which this set does, it just looks so bland next to some of the other class sets and I feel it could be more grand.BUT I can't design any better and I'm happy with the other sets so can't wait to try them on!
Looking at the PvE sets, I can't help but wishing the LFR brownish scheme was heroic version
I like the overall look of the new armor sets, but I'm think somewhere down the line a set bonus should be introduced if you have all the pieces, allowing us to belt out a Wagner opera:You gain Ride of the Valkyries: "Your aria allows for the possibility of putting the target to sleep for 3 hours"
I don't often play hunters, just because most me and a friend pug with end up being huntards and it gives me a bad view of them, but I have to say, this is making me want to try one. The PvE armor looks nice, but I like the PvP set more. I'd totally take a porcupine pet.
lol true its GIGANTIC
Very nicely done guide. All of the level 60+ talents are discussed on EJ and such but the earlier ones rarely are. Prediction: Exhilaration will be the preferred talent in pvp and Aspect of the Iron Hawk will be preferred in pve. Spirit Bond isn't bad, per se, the others are just really strong in other areas. This is actually where I'm going to disagree. I personally find Exhilaration got the short end of the stick. The throughput healing might be more bursty and affected by Readiness, but I predict in PvP settings that fights could easily last as long as 30 seconds (this equals Exhilaration's heal if Spirit Bond is used for the Hunter) or 1 minute (two Exhilarations) and this is just accounting for dueling, battlegrounds, or world PvP. I'm almost certain in the arena setting fights are going to last about as long as Cataclysm arena matches, if not longer due to resilience redesign and the fact each class got some additional healing and/or defensive tool.Aspect of the Iron Hawk could be a strong talent for PvE if the incoming damage is consistent and the amount of damage reduced by AotIH is more than the amount Spirit Bond can heal. The exception to this is during a huge burst of damage where damage reduction is far more likely to trump healing (can't heal if you die instantly). Since the Aspects gcd change is being reverted at some point in time, this means it is assumed Hawk uptime may be higher (or lower depending on your talent setup/whether you're doing PvP or PvE) but still not quite enough to make it worth it (self healing is something of a godsend for Hunters considering they've been the class most lacking it lately). I think Deterrence/RoS/Feign is sufficient in PvP and Spirit Bond synergizes well with handling the holes in the Hunter's defenses (DoTs mainly)That's just me though. These talents do seem more about choice and I may experiment with the other talents a bit more.
challenge shoulders are beyond godlike. Haven't seen such good model for hunters since TBC. The rest of the set looks pretty meh, just a random mix of colors, so I'll probably just use shoulders with something else - gotta find out what would give the best looks
Wow. Since the patch I’ve been playing around with my hunter (been my main since I started playing) and finally I’m liking the changes from Blizzard. Love the removal of minimum range and the Fetch Glyph with AoE looting is way to handy for solo farming. Now my wish list is much shorter - bring back “mana” (after all this time I’m still not liking focus) - I would love to be able to enchant my bow instead of being stuck with crappy scopes (alright I want to carry around the heirloom bow with Fiery Weapon on it)In general I would love to see the class specific quests back in - I remember demon “hunting” quests on an old warlock or questing to learn how to be a bear on a druid - now the leveling experience is all the same for all the classes - IMO this has weakened the re-playability of the game. If there is no difference playing a warlock or a warrior or a mage - why should I?
Great job blizz Demon hunt here we come
New pets gonna be awesome :)I hope that Beast Master gonna be usable in raids again.PvP gonna be fun now you can shoot people in the face.
damn Blizz you got to fire that dude who makes hunter shouldre.. i mean wtf is he on.... some kind of drugs or what... try indstead to listen to ppl what they want wants .. instead of just hiring some random noob to make a draving of something that he think is cool..
i don't like the boots though....i liked the lightning-charged type of boots....but that's the only kind that is in mail. the rest are plate.
