Noob question: What happens in mop with the valor points u have now in cata ? Will be reseted and converted into gold ?
You people are making me laugh so hard right now. For four years all I've heard from the community is how easy it is to get epics, and how "getting epics used to actually mean something". Blizzard finally makes it a LITTLE harder for you to get your epics all of a sudden your like OMG I HAVE TO WORK FOR MY EPICS NOW? Poor Blizzard just can't win can they?
Actually there is no cap; there are just 48 random Pandaria dailies available that rotate from a total of 300.
The generosity of Blizzard passeth all understanding! We should be humbled before the manifold and great largess of our benevolent overlords! Of course 3,000 Valor Points allows us more choice and greater flexibility just as 6 talent options out of 18 choices allows us infinitely greater flexibility than 61 talent points over 63 talents. Why, we will certainly be able to parcel out those 3,000 Valor Points without the inconveniences demanded by the old 4,000 point cap like getting out a pen and paper or taking off our shoes. And having 1,000 fewer points per week to worry over will certainly absolve us of all those perplexities of how to get gear for alts, especially since we won't have any points left over for alts. But, seriously, I understand that Blizzard needs to cut corners in a shrinking market. Clearly capping Valor Points at 3,000 allows Blizzard to delete the free abacus that was going to be a perc with the Deluxe Edition of Mists. I can't thank them enough. Or maybe I can by allowing my subscription to lapse. How often are we going to stand for Blizzard on our legs and telling us it's raining?
These gearing and VP changes really sound interesting... I'm pretty excited to see that go live. Hopefully they won't water it all down because of crying forum posters. Actually most of the new systems they are introducing sound really cool. And FINALLY two tiers of raids (different ilvls) in a single patch, I've been waiting for this since BC. Now we can actually have some raid progression again!
Oh, my! We are really all such sheep that we unquestioningly take whatever crap Blizzard feeds us and say, "Thank you. It's delicious!"
I was so happy when I read the Blizzard post when the revealed that you will no longer buy gear for Valor Points. Why was I happy? Because I thought that you'd finally get to farm your epics in RAIDS instead of dungeons. However it seems they decided to change this... sigh...
