Okay, this was one of my least favorite things about MoP during its inception - "Oh great, WoW Farmville, can't wait... /sarcasm" After reading this though, I am super excited to build and manage my farm. It all looks great and i like how you can use it not only for vanity items, but also to supplement your professions.Kinda hoping they add a bit more to the goat's idle animation...
Looking forward to this as well.
Being an avid Harvest Moon fan, I've been anticipating this since I first heard the whispers it was happening. Little things like this are what keep me coming back to this game.
As long as they don't make it a farmville clone, it should be fairly fun :)
A little Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing element will definitely add more fun and depth to the game. Along with the pet battling (we all know what game that is similar to), I really look forward to this expansion. I hope they always implement stuff like this, as it helps reinforce the rpg feel of WoW; it's a big world, and players should always have something to do besides dungeons/raiding and chatting in SW/Org.
Wow, this is just like Harvest Moon. As soon as I saw him breaking rocks, I knew right away this was going to be just like one of the best game series ever. Can't wait!
I'm a sucker for these little meta games, so between farming and mini-pet battles, I'll have plenty to do while I catch up on my podcasts. :D
I'm really looking forward to this, Pet battles and this sold me entirely on MoP. Which is impressive since I've never been a huge fan of the traditional 'Asian-theme cop-out' that RPGs always do.To everyone whining about this, you don't have to do it. Its an optional meta-game meant to give players more to do with WoW. Honestly I think its probably the smartest thing they've done in WoW since Vanilla and I only hope they add more metas. I for one was done with Vanilla Cata several months before Firelands, done with Firelands several months before Dragon soul and done Dragon souls a long time ago. Darkmoon Faire is a good start but even it got old as no new content was given. Daily games will fill the void and help to keep WoW an entertaining game constantly instead of just being interesting after major additions in content. Plus its rewarding so its liable to keep peoples attention more then grinding for pure vanity achieves like Insane or Loremaster.Props to Development for this one.
At least pet battles are BATTLES, and a lot of novelty pets are actually serious, threatening creatures. What in the name of everything dark and shadowy is an undead affliction warlock going to be doing planting cabbage?Honestly...
Yeah yeah, looks like a barrel of laughs. But more importantly, this seems like a faction that you grind rep with well after launch not at launch... Right? I don't see any buffs to professions or gear for levelling/PvP/PvE/Raiding.
Farmville. First Pokemon, now FARMVILLE?Next step, offshore gambling / slots / cards? Will they spam my wall asking people to donate seeds? *sighs* Please, if ANYONE from Blizzard reads this, just... kill this. Kill it.
I am ridiculously excited about The Tillers, and MoP as a whole as well. Not only is the Valley of the Four Winds a gorgeous land, but I'm a fan of Harvest Moon series and this sounds like a good time sink in between raiding and PvP with my mates. RP-wise, my hunter is a bit of a loner, preferring to provide for herself in as many ways as possible, so living off the land as this will appeal greatly to her.
This might be fun =).
