You can now read more about the Mists of Pandaria Scenarios feature in our updated expansion preview website! Check out our sneak peek at two of the scenarios you and your friends will be able to play in Mists of Pandaria: A Brewing Storm and Greenstone Village.
What’s a “Scenario?”
Scenarios are short, instanced adventures for three players that directly follow the stories and events in the open world. In a scenario you’ll be presented with a number of goals you need to achieve in order to progress. So instead of “clear trash, kill boss, rinse, repeat”, you will be given objectives you have to complete to move the scenario’s story forward. Yes, that’s right – scenarios are heavily story-driven, much more so than dungeons.
You’ll be able to queue for scenarios, dungeons, raids, and battlegrounds all at the same time in Mists of Pandaria. Scenarios share a common UI with dungeons and raids as part of the Dungeon Finder, and you can check your queue statuses by clicking on the LFD icon next to your minimap.
Check out the previews now for more info and screenshots, and make sure to check back often as we’ll be adding info for more scenarios soon. Stay tuned!
The PVP vulnerability thing for pet battles is kind of stupid. If you got there first, then you deserve to fight it (and try to capture) without problems.I can just imagine how many gankers out there will have a new outlet to gank: prey on people pet battling.Such a stupid idea by Blizz.
Some of your code is showing. The Hunter tab is under the Druid heading in the last section.
I'm disappointed that the Shado-Pan Helmet doesn't have a leather equivalent, would have been perfect transmog for rogues and monks.
i love those amber weapon designs. definately will be using them.
Looks like yet another year with no Brewfest kodo. Argh.
Heh. Well look at that. I think that's about the fastest Blizzard's ever updated an event. 10 days to reach 89... challenge accepted!/swarley
Ganking=/=PvPThis is like a whole other level of ganking, too. At least when someone tries to gank you, you can fight back (even though the battle is usually over since gankers pick on people worse than them). In this setting, you can't even fight back during the pet battle. Your body is at the mercy of anyone that happens to roll by.Again, stupid, stupid rule. Blizzard makes terrible decisions sometimes...
I've thought about it a lot, even before all of this. If a player was made immune or phased during a pet battle, that could definitely be abused in a couple of ways:In world pvp, a player could simply enter a pet battle to avoid being killed, though this can be resolved by preventing entering a pet battle while in combat. Also, griefers can engage a rare pet and never leave the battle to prevent it from respawning.
I can understand fighting over getting to the pet to battle it, but the fact that you can get ganked while you are helpless during the battle is stupid.
The whole PvP over resources argument never has been very relevant in WoW. At least not for crafting nodes and the like. It's almost never possible on PvE servers, and even on PvP servers it's only an option against those who are of the opposite faction.
3 years farming the brewfest kodo with no luck, and now I don't get to do it until NEXT YEAR.....At least I'm not getting ripped off near as bad as people who are working on the violet proto.gg blizz, gives us a new expansion and force us to powerlevel to 90 as fast as we can just so we can participate in a YEARLY event.I'm rather mad about this.
