Good. I was going to be finding them anyways.
I like this change. had it not been implemented everyone would have 50 or so level 25 pets which would cost almost nothing. It was simply too easy for a player with a few level 25 pets to instantly and easily catch other level 25 pets... which could then be bought and create even more level 25 pets.Within a few weeks there would be no gameplay left except camping spots for rare spawns with a 1000 other people.. all with your army of level 25 pets.WIth the new system.. level 25 pets are going to require a lot of work from the person wanting to sell them,.
Because then whoever wants to sell them will just spam trade chat, and there's no point in not putting it on the AH.I just took a 6 month break from the game. I missed mounts, and pets and achievements and haven't seen Firelands at all. It happens. If I could have come back one day a month and caught up on everything, I wouldn't be playing more than that one day a month. I'd be playing other games. As a company that makes a product, they have to sell a product that is going to appeal to a wide variety of people. They have to have a significant amount of content that casuals can see, and achievements they can earn, so that if they only really have time once in a while there's still something to work on. In order to make sure that the servers are populated, and that people don't unsubscribe for months at a time knowing they can pick up and catch up in a couple of days, they also have to put in content that takes time in order to clear or see, and prizes that are an incentive to spend more time. In order to make sure that people who want to engage in group play have enough people to group with, they have to make certain things available only if you're willing to participate in group activities. It's not that they're "punishing hard workers." They have a product that they want people to buy. In order for them to make the most money, people have to have a reason to keep subscribing to that product. If they don't have things that people want that require them to keep an active subscription and invest time to get, then they won't be successful in keeping people from taking subscription breaks. If they don't give people a reason to be on the server, then the servers will be ghost towns, which tends to drive people towards other games. They wouldn't be able to maintain a stable player base if people could get everything they want playing 2 days month, or take a break for 9 months and then get everything they missed in a week or two.
I'm just explaining why, from a business standpoint, it doesn't make sense for them to do that. My first response to you was to give you a practical suggestion to help your boyfriend out. All of your other posts were questions, which I took as an invitation to provide answers and continue discussion. If you didn't want anyone to answer your questions, I apologize. I'll stop answering your posts from now on, since my explanations are upsetting you. I was trying to be helpful.
If I had to interpret this, I would say...The pet auctioning has been incredibly buggy and broken. No way to sort, and when a pet was sold it wouldn't tell you which one. I bet they're disabling it instead of fixing it prior to MoP launch, as there's probably higher priority things to work on, and eventually after MoP is out for a while they'll fix the pet auctioning in a patch then turn it on.
Blizz just took away the one and single thing I've found to enjoy as a gold farm in wow.I mean, I've even spent at least 15h+ just on pet battles on the beta to learn which pets are best, how to lvl fast, best ways to tame rare pets above your lvl, where to scout for pets, etc etc. :(Using my professions to gain gold ain't fun :(
:( i kind of wanted to get pets for my mom when she is at school :(
To everyone saying that why cant you just logg into their account and get the pet. That is agianst ToS, just saying
You're right, I probably shouldn't be suggesting it (though for the one who says it's for their mom, an adult is allowed to share their account with one minor child). It just seemed like an obvious solution for people who are complaining about how they had noble intentions about trading the pets to family, rather than wanting to make money off of them.
Is the fox kit becoming BoE, then? It's BoP right now. Also, I'm wondering if I am understanding right- can you battle/level pets without learning them? Or are you able to sell pets you've already learned, in MoP?
