i think is the most sad feature introduced in wow since vanilla! it's ridiculous....bimbiminkia get out of here!
I'm loving it, it's a bunch of fun, finding others who are also treating it as a light fun thing to do and overall making some nice friends over it. The 97HP bug is a tiny bit frustrating especially when you've just popped your health pet button (15min wait - joy) but I am my own Ash and the world is my oyster. The rares are pretty easy to spot, IMO, because after you've faced a few pets of the same level then a pet with almost double the HP and some sweet moves shows up it's often a rare.... or I'm finding.I think it's going to be a great feature for the casual player, the Nigel-no-friends or those who no longer want to tie themselves to progression/raiding because of time constraints or have no interest in doing so. For those just starting I highly suggest having a water type in your trio because of the self heals.
I guess I better go farm companions now :)
One thing I can never find in all of these Pet Battle-related posts is any type of list of where you should level your pets. Given the bugged nature of some trainer quests, it's rather difficult to get up there without some hard grinding and trickery. :S
Seems very interesting. I can't wait to try it out, once MoP is released!
hmm looks like all the time i spent doing competitive pokemon battling will help me out in WoW. i can already see some great strategies and epic combos
Wanna catch 'em all?
i cant wait for mists of pandaria it will be sick people say its gonna be dumb i dont think so tho
Are they? In the MOP Battle Pet database they have moves listed for some of the store-bought pets.
Aye, Store Bought Pets are usuable in the battles, unless they fall under Kite/Balloon or Humanoid child.
Where's the list of excluded pets?
Not sure at the moment, I just know that the Balloons, Kites and the Argent Squire and Guild Page are excluded. But as I have a guild mate on Beta who has a level 15 Lil KT, the store bought ones aren't lol.
I agree the squire should be excluded, and I understand why the page is- especially with the height difference. Ballons and kites are probably hard to animate- lol. Are those it, though? I mean the oracle and wolvar are kids- are they excluded? Or the Pandaren, the Winter's Helpers, etc.?
Think the only exclusion is on the child models, so the Helpers should be fine same as the Mini-Monk(as both use Adult models). Don't know about the Oracle or the Wolvar pups though, but since they are just scaled down versions of the originals, they probably got through.
i cant wait for pandaria its pandas yo
