Someplace I will never spend my gold. When MoP hits you can expect my crafted items and mats to increase in price on the auction house just because of the BMAH.
I think this will be a good idea. It brings something for the maxed out, high gold holding people to do and it will, I HOPE, balance out the economy on several realms. I'm going to start saving up my gold to play in this auction house.
I can sort of almost understand the idea of having this sort of bidding market, but I feel like it's a total cop out. People who bust their a$$es to get these things are going to pushed aside by the people who have no problem buying their gold online. Which, in my opinion, is a sincere pain and it's demeaning. If you want epics and wicked mounts and super awesome rare pets etc., then you should have to work for them. Also, it's not like lvling to 90 is going to make getting any of these things harder. In fact, with the way you can solo/duo most places, why on earth does this market make any sort of sense?
I dont see what the big deal is, i'd be much less angry about the person who spent a whole boatload of gold on the ravenlord mount than the person who got it first try. It also looks as if the same mount/item wont appear more than once over the course of several months, and with high pop servers having like 30k+ players you'll have a lot of competition on these items. Oh and i wouldnt be surprised to see players camping low pop servers BMAH and transfer to get a better shot at the item they wantFor those who want to go out and spend a couple hundred dollars on a gold farming site to be able to buy something off BMAH, high risk high reward i guess. Maybe im naive for assuming blizz has thought of this before and will try to prevent it where they can.As for everyone who is mad that they wont be as special because someone else has the same item/items as you, take an ego pill and chill out, take solace in knowing you got it the old fashioned way
Awesome idea! I'm really so excited about this. A much-needed gold sink.I've been sitting and waiting with my gold on my dead server for the TCG mounts to come up for sale... for years. Finally a way to get hold of them on all servers! Not to mention the opportunities for removed recipes and transmogging rarities to show up.I guess the most sought after items will go to whoever bids the gold cap first. It's comforting to know there's at least some limit to the bidding madness, even if it's 1 million gold.
*gasp* ........ one may........ get.....The corrupted ashbringer again?.......... *faints*
I see this as another reason to quite. It going to ruin the game. It bad enought trying to buy what you need. Now prices are going to go crazy! Just gos to show that all bliz thinks of is nothing. The kidies are going to like this crap not the real players.
I guess no Invincible because it is a rare drop on Heroic only... which means you can only get it if you are REALLY Lucky. Egg of Millagazor and Blazing Drake (or its heroic version) are SURE drops on Heroic versions of Firelands and Dragon Soul... which means that you could get a group of 8 - 10 lvl 90 players and go get them every week or so... which would make them go for lower prices on BMAH. One question though..... NO ZUL GURUB MOUNTS? I was putting all my faith on buying the damn raptor since after 300+ Mandokir kills it has dropped twice and lost them both to the suckiest players of the group....Please do include other drop mounts from dungeons and raids.... Raven Lord, Fiery Warhorse.... etc.
Is there any word that Tier 3 will be either Bind on Pick up right out of the mail, Bind on Account, or Bind on Equip? I know a lot of people that would love to cap toons at 60 again when saved to current raids. Not only that, most of my friends loved Vanilla and complained Naxx was removed but they still do 60 stuff as I do with 70.
Why so much hate? After all as long as heroic items stay rare I don't see any problem. Rest of them are just vanity items, mounts, pets etc. your character isn't going to do more DPS or achieve higher arena rating.... After all those items are made to make you spend real money or real time to get them and if you ask me they're pointless.Wow you got a rare mount congratz... one that will achieve you nothing other than "coolness". My motto? : no stats, no need And such I don't think I'll use any of the BMAH features.
Gold selling sites are going to get rich from this horrible idea. :(
Am I the only one who fears this will make gold buying explode, and pretty much kill the economy?EDIT: I see someone else mentioned it as well. This is more than a mammoth. People will be competing to get items they want for the highest price, which will often mean whoever buys the most gold.
For me this is meaningless. I won't be buying gold to get some pixels and I certainly won't care if some unknown person has something that I have as well.I don't see why ppl care so much in general. Even having current tier heroic stuff won't make or break anything as there will only be 1 or 2 (or none) misc pieces at a time and even the richest sob will run out of gold quick with the 999 999 gold "buyout". If this however somehow affects economy, well all the better, as I have every profession across my characters and am not afraid of little farming. (moar golds for me)
Yet another way that Blizz is taking away any sense of acv from WoW. Many of us spent months or years farming some of these mounts. Blizz needs to leave some things alone and quit dumbing the game down.
This is whi i left wow..... cmon they make way way to easy and now gold hakers will have work to do and will get reach ( in real money ), at first bid will be acceptable, but afther people will farm / buy gold the bid will explode minimal 100k per item :(
At first I, like some people on here and many more people on forums, was worried about a increase in gold buying.Than I put some thought into it. Just think for a second, how do gold sellers get gold? They farm, farm, farm and than farm some more. Sometimes (some people say most of the time) they cheat using bots and stuff to do the farming for them, but with so many players subscribing for the annual thingy and LOADS of people buying MoT expansion as soon as it goes live, Blizzard should have more than enough money to invest into securing any loopholes those cheaters use. I know thats a whole lot of wishful thinking, but assuming they will at least do something to tackle this issue (I think the 4.3.4 report a cheater fuctionality is a step in the right direction), lets think what will those gold farmers have to do? They will have to farm legally. And what are the natural consequence of more people farming?Decrease in AH prices of mats for instance. Some players will say thats game breaking, but Blizz (as I would do the same in their position) REALLY cares about most people. Not the whiny people sitting on forums like you and me, but all the people who play WoW without putting any deeper thought into it. Sure Blizz made lots of little things that only a minority will understand, but business is all about keeping the majority happy. And those people rarely (if at all) sell on AH, most of the time they buy on AH and lower AH prices are good news for most servers. Right now I rolled a new char on a realm I never played on before and I was amazed how easy it is to make gold on it compared to my old server. Just by putting the stuff I got from leveling on AH I was for the first time able to afford 270% riding at lvl 70. With absolutely no farming at all, just the usual questing and dungeoning. But I've put literally everything green that wasn't soulbound on AH and almost all white items (excluding food and stuff i needed myself) and at the same time I leveled a herb/inscr professions without any problems at all. Actually I made most gold from selling the glyphs and inks i got from leveling inscription (only did orange stuff).Than I started to talk with people in guild chat and they all are like 'this server ecanomy (sic!) sucks' 'everything is so darn expensive on AH' (using a bit stronger language). This is how majority is like.If you disagree with what I wrote please explain why, I will gladly discuss with you as long as you keep it civilized.TL|DR: IMHO gold sellers are actually good for the economy if Blizz does something about cheating.
