The better question is....how is anyone supposed to get 10,000 to 20,000 gold legitimately? Are you kidding? A person can make that in two weeks with an 85 who farms and does dailies, if they pay attention to what is selling on the AH. I don't even farm that much anymore, and I make about 5k a week just from normal play and posting the stuff I pick up while I'm doing archaeology, old content, trying for mounts, etc.If nothing else, an hour a day will finish the Argent Tournament dailies, and if you've unlocked all of them you can earn enough tokens for a pet every 3 days, which will then sell for 2-3k on a high pop server, and 4-5 on a low pop. So for an hour a day you can have guaranteed income of 4-10k per week not even counting normal dailies and professions.I have never understood how people have money issues in WoW. Almost everything you do gives you gold, or items that you can sell for gold.
Boo no Invincible's Reins. I would have thought it would be in the list given that Reins of the Blazing Drake and Smoldering Egg of Millagazor were. That would be gamebreaking, it would be like having gladiator mounts on there TBH. I'm ok with them adding rare drops, especially since TK is so easy to duo now, but Invincible and Mimi's head should remain an absolute nightmare to obtain honestly. They will already be a lot easier when we're up to 90 and have monks to help duo/solo with.I honestly do not understand why you make a distinction between Invincible/Mim's Head and let's say Egg of Millagazor that IS available on BMAH at least atm. Both of the wrath mounts were 100% drop chance on heroic during wrath and now a low drop rate. Egg is also 100% for now in heroic. I am expecting them to make the Egg another low percent drop rate. In that case, how is it any different and why would it be gamebreaking? Facerolling LK/Yogg with 10 85s isn't exactly challenging regardless. The only challenge is beating the odds. But same can be said for Onyxian Drake or Alysrazor mount. It's a mount after all and I think we can all agree mounts are not game breaking. You have not demonstrated any logical reason why having Invincible or Mim's Head would be game breaking for anyone, except maybe that because you have both you don't really want more people getting them.
ICEBANE ARMOR !
I bet someone goes as far as buying 999k gold.I doubt it,
I bet someone goes as far as buying 999k gold.I doubt it, Wha...?
I bet someone goes as far as buying 999k gold.I doubt it, Sure, even I will look twice when I see a mount/weapon or something that I haven't seen before, but after that initial glimpse it loses meaning for me. If it's something I like, I'll find out if it's possible to get it by myself, if not, too bad.I myself had the server first Reins of the Phosphorescent Stone Drake and got crapton on whispers asking about it, so I soon in enough switched back to using my Turbo-Charged Flying Machine as it was annoying to get spammed. Apparently some ppl enjoy that spam, so they're ready to even pay loads of real life cash for that attention.
Yet another reason I am losing faith in this game. Exclusive items should remain so and littering the game with 'very hard to get ' items such as mounts and weapons is an insult. Shame on you Blizz for reducing this game to the lowest common denominator... money. Teaching us all that hard work and dedication don't mean anything when you can just swipe your mommies credit card instead.Um....what? As someone else said in the thread,; please please please read the entire thread before making comments like this.Gonna quote myself again here:So, here's the thing everyone is seemingly ignoring: Except for those items that have been removed in the past(such as T3 and the recipes), every thing else on the BMAH is still in game; so, you have a choice of either farming eye-bleeding amounts of gold or......getting off your butt and go and running the instances for the mount/going to the AT/etc etc etc.Jesu Christo; it's like people are just skimming the information and complaining without reading anything. You don't seem to get what these people are complaining about. One part is the thing that you think but the other bigger part is that it takes the feeling out of the game, if you see someone a one of these mounts now you might think somthing like, ''Ooh he's lucky'', when/if this comes out and you see someone on one of these mounts you might think ''Aah... He farmed or bought gold and bought a mount...''.Like Onyxian Drake, the mount with the lowest drop rate from a raid boss withing the game, and now you can just go and buy it? When i see someone with the mount i become jealous, i acutally wonder how it was when it dropped for them, if they were 10 people in WotLK or 2 people in Cata. And even worse if you farmed the mount and it droped maybe some other person thinks that about you, even thought you got it in the real way way.Let me simply put it this way; this idea is going to ruin a big part of the game, you get a special feeling when a awesome rare mount drops, a feeling that's based on proud and happyness, when you buy a mount you just simply buyt a mount, nothing more about it.I've spent a big part of my time playing on both farming mounts and gold, i find it more intresting to do both and not just farm gold. And i really hope that they remove this idea. And that you can buy HC gear? HC gear you get from that either you were in a good group or that you're good, but that any noob can just go to the BMAH and by gear just to get good ilvl and walk away? That's just stupid! Ilvl is a bit of a proof that you can play and that you get into raids and killed the boss. I'm very disappointed at Blizzard for ruining a good part of the game that they created.

And I truly hope you and all others bad mouthing this option remember quite simply: it's optional, you don't have to use it.And that you can buy HC gear? The BMAH will not be an alternate way to gear up; if anything, it's going to be for the hardcore sect with more gold then sense to pick up a missing piece that RNG just won't drop for them. Actually running the dungeon will still be more viable.
i dont think il be using this feature much. its for only a few with big budgets
i dont think il be using this feature much. its for only a few with big budgetsYes yes it is....which is why it's a Gold Sink.
If this was a vendor, I would have a problem with it. In fact, I almost don´t like the vendors in beta selling the 372 green gear. But this is not a vendor, these are very random items that you bid on. You can´t determine what gear will show up, or what mounts. I heard people in this thread say ´i earned my mount, now it will be everywhere´.. you realize that for most mounts, they will probably show up 1 or 2 times in a year? On an entire server, 1 or 2 extra people may have it. It is NOT a vendor, you won´t have 100 people buying it as soon as it shows up.my brain hurts reading some of the people posting in this thread. There are 1000 people on my server with Baron´s mount.. is it that big of a deal if 3 more have it by paying 100k gold?
But just wondering, the rarer mounts like Blazing Drake and Smouldering aren't going to cost like 999,999g are they like it has in picture above?

This is a terrible idea. Now someone who grinded for months "enter rare item name here" can now buy it with gold.. which can also be purchased online. Therfore their months of grinding will amount to nothing and they will get the same respect as those who just bought it. GG Blizz.
I think the point everyone is missing, is that you're talking about a specific small number of extra pets and mounts of each type being available per year. It's not a vendor, and the likelihood that the specific pet or mount you want will be up at any one time is low. It's not going to be going to everyone who has the money to pay for it. One will occasionally be going to someone who had money and had the luck to be online when they needed to be to get the last bid in, in what I believe is a PvP area where people will be attacking them to keep them from bidding. I think people underestimate how few people will actually acquire each pet or mount this way, and what a pain in the butt it will be to win the auction even if you have the gold.

GG Blizz.Thank god it's an optional function and you never have to use it...also; for all you know, once the BMAH goes live, anyone who sees you with rare mount/pet are going to think you bought it: Perception works both ways after all. Myself; I don't care in all honesty, and I won't be using it, but that's because I'm bad with gold lol.
I really don't understand the purpose of the BMAH. It doesn't seem like it will be all that effective as a gold sink, and I don't see any reason to make rare items and raid gear more easily available for people who stockpile lots of gold.
