I heard from a friend that you don't actually have to get the new mop tier pieces, that you can just enhance the gear you already have, if thats the case; can I use fandrals staff on my feral kitty, then enhance it to be an oober weapon/legendary?He's telling me that when I use the quest item to make a weapon legendary, it removed everything from said item, does that include me being able to turn into a flame kitty of doom?If someone could confirm post, I'd appreciate it :))Greatly empower's any piece of Sha-Touched equipment.Trying it on anything else will probably result in "Invalid target."
With VP though you'll be able to upgrade other items, instead of buying higher ilvl items.
I dont like this idea one bit, i was hoping finally a TANK ONLY LEGENDARY to arrive,It's safe to expect that tanks will be last on this "Wide Selection" Nonsense it may go like DPS > Healers > Tanks Or Healers > DPS > Tanks, thats of course IF people are still doing that raid tier by that time.I can see this causing a lot of guild drama. Since it's available for every class, there could be situations where it could play out as guild leader reserves it first, then gives it to officers, etc etc. Personally, if that happened in my guild it wouldn't be too big of a deal to me since I am already receiving a legendary this expansion, but I could see this type of thing breaking up some raiding guilds.Only a terrible guild would act like that :/ im surprised there are guilds that act like that today.Guild Loyalty & Attendance & Performance > a Rank.
Love the idea. It means no one will complain about their class not having the legendary weapon.Until the next Expansion, when Dragon Aspects are the Hero-class, and they hand out Legendaries like Epics, and make a new tier of gear. Reds.Where did you hear about Dragon Aspect being the new hero class? Cause that really excited me...
this item should be used to upgrade the previous legendaries to level 90 raid level, all that work for a pretty weapon and an achievement could be extended to a viable item as well!

nice speculation, but i don't think so. it would make zero sense to design a whole new unch of weapons, shields, whatever, and then force everyne to use the same (which is what a relatively easy to get, farm-only legendary would do)so no, we won't see a legendary for every class...an update system like armor in swp seems more likely...the icons could be for a raidevent like kel thas
Awesome! A Legendary Fist!
This will be preatty neat i think, but as they mentioned above, it will become hard for guilds to decide who gets it first.
Its probably another raid event with a bunch of Legendaries like TK was.As soon as you said that I thought 'Hey, he's right !'After thinking about it a bit longer though, I think these legendary items may be legit given the 'Breath of the Black Prince' quest chain and reward at the end.= F
sounds like a good idea even balanced legendaries atm, guild drama, people will get over it, the legendaries aren't the only loot people will be after. My big question can people run the chain multiple times for pieces of gear, like for an off spec.if you can't blizz needs to fix that immediately.
My big question can people run the chain multiple times for pieces of gear, like for an off spec.if you can't blizz needs to fix that immediately.I couldn't disagree more. Legendaries are legendaries. If you have a legendary for your main spec, it defines your main spec as your main spec. When you get your legendary, you gotta move on. Let someone else take it up. If blizzard makes it so you can do this multiple times, I will laugh at the big mistake they've made. Legendaries are something you don't just give out freely. It should take time and dedication. Legendaries are supposed to be legendary. When people finish theirs, they need to just enjoy what they have. I can see some childish GM making sure s/he has a legendary for all their specs before letting anyone else do it. I can see people finishing their first legendary and just starting another one, until they are waving them around like vendor trash. I can also see legendaries becoming the new epic. They are gonna be more common than an idiot in LFR. I dislike what they are doing already, but its part of the game. Players are gonna have to deal with this. But making it repeatable is just plain stupid. So is making them extremely easy to obtain.
i see staff dagger and sword icons and mage's can use all 3. lol and from someone who's been playing since year 1. WoW has took a big turd on us players who have made this the no. 1 M.M.O. of all times. i got to say how in the hell was blizzard ever to £$%^ up such a easy good thing. and it all started after blizz started to make wow to a faceroll game when Lichking came out and patch 3.25 came out. anyway if blizzard wants to kill itself by being like the rest of the crappy mmo's looks like im going to be playing tourchlight's mmo.

These icons were datamined in relation to the "Breath of the Black Prince" legendary quest chain. Due to the fact that these items will be rewarded over a multi-patch quest chain, in no way could they be temporary raid event items. And in many ways, this DOES make sense. Designing all of those weapons and shields really isn't that large of a problem for Blizzards Concept Art team. Think about it, they have been working on Pandaria for close to two years. These items are already designed, or at least in the process of being finished up for Patch 5.1. And the forcing everyone to use it part...isn't that how all the legendaries work nowadays anyway? Aren't rogues basically forced to used the Fangs of the Father if they want to pull the best dps? Wouldn't this go the same for any other class if they had the potential to be using a legendary weapon for their spec over some measley epic? And about the relatively easy to get part. Have you read up on this quest chain at all? The items aren't even obtainable until after patch 5.1 is released...this is a patch (or potentially multi-patch) long quest chain we are talking about here...with reputation grinds, legendary mat farming, raiding, etc. In no way will this be any easy legendary to obtain, as all legendaries take time. And more to the matter of giving a legendary to every class...no one can complain anymore! People are always complaining when it will be there turn for a legendary. Well, every class has had the chance. You don't believe me?Death Knight: ShadowmourneDruid: Atiesh, Val'anyr, DragonwrathHunter: Thor'daiMage: Atiesh, DragonwrathPaladin: Thunderfury, Sulfuras, Val'anyr, ShadowmournePriest: Atiesh, Val'anyr, DragonwrathRogue: Thunderfury, Warglaives of Azzinoth, Fangs of the FatherShaman: Sulfuras, Val'anyr, DragonwrathWarlock: Atiesh, DragonwrathWarrior: Thunderfury, Sulfuras, Warglaives of Azzinoth, ShadowmourneOut of all thirty specs in the game, only one hasn't seen a legendary (feral druid). However, druids can't complain because their class in general has still seen a legendary. You could have rerolled Resto or Balance for the other legendaries if you really wanted that orange in your weapon slot. New generation players are generally the one's @#$%^ing because they haven't played since day one and had a chance to use the legendary for their class. Well guess what, now you can...the only problem is - deciding who in your guild gets it.
I heard that to get this new legandary... you have to do EVERY none item giving quest in game.. item giving quest i mean they dont give you like a cannon to shoot somthing ... like that so thats about 1.5k quests... thats wat my friend told me and his dads friend works for blizz SOO idk forsure

I think its a great idea, however, even in cata I (as the warlock) was passed over for getting the staff and preference was given to the mage. So if it is going to be something that you need to gather that only drops once per boss (like the pattern of legendaries so far) there is going to be some serious raid-group politics going on to decide what order people are going to get it in. The bast way to do it (and hopefully how they do it) would be something like the AQ40 ones that have been mentioned, make it more a personal-dedication grind than a whole raid involvement quest. Will just have to wait and see how it shapes up as there are more patches released on the beta.
Feral druid is the only spec I know of that has not received a legendary in WoW ever. If I don't get the legendary first in my guild, I'm permanently quitting WoW! :-)WeHazFIRE KITTEHZ!
Nice i think its awesome!
