Meh. I prefer it how it is now, honestly, but who knows? I might like the new system more.
As said above, the real issue is RNG. I have digged thousands of times and I'm still getting the same items for the 20th time while some items have still not dropped. I don't expect to get all items after one hundred digs but with the current system, it's really not motivating and not worth it. I think a good option would be something like an adaptive RNG (just an example): - After 1 dig, 0,5% chance to find a rare item- After 10 digs, 3% chance to find a rare item- After 50 digs, 5% chance to find a rare item- After 200 digs, 15% chance to find a rare itemWhat do you think ? Cheers, Hemie143
any info about the gray pics in archeology tab, or that's nothing?
I haven't checked in a while, but a month ago I got six digs at any betas digsite, not only in Pandaria. One more change back then was - there was only 3 digsites in Pandaria, not 4 like in other continents.Robotusch - in beta only the new (found in Pandaria) artifacts give skillups.
I would love it if the Lorewalkers would, after I've grinded Pandarian archy enoguh, or worked up enough faction/personal rep, let me purchase an item or effect that gave me a guarantee, if not very high chance, of my next archy project being a particular race's rare artifact that I haven't found.I've solved almost 100+ Troll projects, and I have yet to get the final rare, the epic sword, to come up as a project. The RNG with this thing is staggering.
It looks as if they took the player feedback seriously, at least. It would be great if they'd backfit the existing content with some of these changes. I could see, for instance, the Explorer's League working similarly to the Lorewalkers, and being based in the museum in Ironforge. It'd be nice to have an excuse to go to Ironforge.
Lovely work as always my good friend <3
that all looks good to me .
/begin excited happy fun time dance (and it may never end!)
Hope they implement a way so that aftet max leveling Archeology you can increase you odds at particular drops... I hunted Zin Rok since it was implemented and it never dropped for me. Also hopefully there will be more interesting and useful gear / mounts / transmo gear. Smaller nodes and more than 4 per continent PLEASE! Some nodes take huge spaces and end up being a waste of time to dig.
The library looks purrrrty :).
they also of really need to raise the level items that can be found, dont need to make it easy but maybe some 397 at least 385, and that goes for all zones
Sounds great. But what's the point in raising the amount of digsites, if they are just going to raise the amount of fragments needed for each solve anyway...?
it's great and all to see these changes, but it'd be nice if they were for more than just Pandaria. Be nice to see other locations on Azeroth and Outlands get the pluses as well.
