hmmmm... that's interesting
Well, unless we can only pick certain factions (Aldor/Scryer-like) I'm gonna get rep with everyone, so it doesn't make a difference to me anyway.
That's...actually a semi-nice change*shudders at memories of being forced to do Vashj since the ER rep vendor was in a phased area of that*.
I guess that's how they're fixing scribes not having much to do. Works for me. It finally gives me a reason to level my Inscription character.
Nice. Players have been screaming for account bound enchants from the rep grinds, and now they're gone. Good move Blizz.Cheers.
This is a terrible excuse for removing them....Since when have most people not just cycled through tabards for the main factions of an expansion? You don't even have to be Exalted to get the head enchants. I never felt like I had to do a certain faction to get my specific enchant. I felt that it was just another bonus to having done the faction. Oh well I guess. Will still do the reps, just now there won't be any progression involved in doing it. Vanity pets/mounts/tabards are just that....Vanity.
This is very interesting. But eventually I will still pursue those factions because I still like my exalted reputation achievements.
I wouldn't have minded if they were all BoA!
I guess that's how they're fixing scribes not having much to do. Works for me. It finally gives me a reason to level my Inscription character.Give them something to do? Like....Making glyphs which EVERY toon needs atleast 6 of to be properly kitted for a single spec? 12 for 2 specs, and not counting the flavor glyphs, which on top of what already exist, there are tons being added for MoP. If you have nothing to do on a scribe, you are doing something wrong. It's not even like they are making head versions of the shoulder chants. They are just straight out removing the ability to enchant them at all.
I think it's way too many ways to customize you gear right now, so i just think it's good
A welcome change or further dumbing down the game?
Works for me! Less frakking rep to grind!
A welcome change or further dumbing down the game? How exactly? I mean this as a 100% serious question: The Head enchants were no brainers after all, just requiring you grind out crap. But if you look at the expansions, it was really only Wrath that made it 'easy' to get a hold of the enchants, as all of the rep vendors were easy to get....but in BC and Cata? It was a pain: Trying to get the Head Enchant for Keepers when barely anyone was ever willing to run Durnholde Heroic or Black Morass Normal/Heroic since those instances were massive PITA's, and then in Cata, with the whole Earthen Ring vendor being in the second section of Vashj, and being 'forced' to do most of the zone to get to them.I wouldn't call it dumbing down, I'd call it removing a pain in the ass mechanic.
I don't really mind that decision. Looks like a good idea to me. I realy wanted to do something else rather than Mount Hijal but the damn Head enchant forced me. :D
Guess Im one of the few weirdos who got everyone to exalted. lol
why not just give enchanters the ability to enchant helms?
I dislike. By faction based stores players were pushed to gain reputation for some kind of faction to reach the goal for complete gear which made it interesting at least for me.
I... was not expecting that.
Good job, Blizz! I actually didn't like being forced to grind rep with a faction that (to me) didn't have interesting quests/lore. I'm glad to be given more freedom as to where to spend my time, especially my "Dailies Time".
I dislike. By faction based stores players were pushed to gain reputation for some kind of faction to reach the goal for complete gear which made it interesting at least for me.Correction: Not forced to gain rep for "some kind of faction"... forced to gain rep with ONE -very specific- faction, even if their dailies were terrible.Personally, I see that as an improvement.
