What would a hero be without a mighty steed? How else does a champion ride boldly into the thick of battle? What self-respecting hero walks to the battlefield, instead of riding in style?
You’ve met the pandaren and learned of their rich and enigmatic history, but the time has come to reveal their mount of choice, the Dragon Turtle.
The pandaren have long sought mounts that embody their values: patience and strength. With a naturally armored hide, and even gait (no matter how heavy the passenger), and the relaxed attitude that welcomes long journeys, the Dragon Turtle is perfect for the pandaren adventurer. Indigenous to mainland Pandaria, these fine steeds are easily outfitted with the essentials: maps, cushions, footstools, and brew-storage. Comfortable and hardy, the dragon turtle’s slow, even stride will gently ease passengers into new parts of the world and/or a relaxing nap time.
*Disclaimer: Do not operate while napping. May not actually charge into battle. Maps, cushions, and brew-storage optional.May cause mount envy and wanderlust. For recreational use only. Keep fingers and toes away from mouth. Do not leave in sun. Feed and water regularly. No guarantees real or imagined apply.
They look more like...tortoises?
Strange that the Level 20 mounts are Epic quality, considering all other Level 20 mounts are of Rare quality (not counting the AQ40 bugs).
These look fine. The flying ones should go into their shell and have little jets of flame that shoot out of the leg holes.
Turtles are slow? You have never tangled with a snapping turtle then. Wow those things are scary fast. lolOn another note, I agree with the other folks. Take my bloody money already!. lmao
Is that TWELVE mounts in total from a race? Hey, it doesn't bother me. I just wish my 163 mounts had their own pen to sleep in or something.
Have to admit, the turtles are a pretty nice change of pace.Anywho, there's one thing I would like to say about the number of mounts. If you haven't already, keep in mind that there is only one race this expansion and even though the Worgen and Goblins only have two mounts, the rest of the races had between 6 - 8. So, we have a Horde and Alliance race in one race this expansion, meaning that there should be some extra mounts to make up for the singularity. Besides, how many mounts can you think up for Worgen, besides a giant orange levitating raccoon with laser eyes, SAMs, and cup-holders? Which would explain why the Goblin mounts were so limited, come to think of it...Anyways, point is, it's a Horde and Alliance mount. If they divide them between factions or let the two factions buy all of them, I wouldn't care either way... I just want to ride my awkward turtle onward to victory...P.S. TURTLZ SHULD B ONLY MONTZ 2 CARRY WSG FLAG
Stop complaining guys... it's not normal turtle! IT'S DRAGON TURTLE! IT WILL FLY ASWELL!
LOL"May not actually charge into battle"Does it come with airbags? (ie. pillows for said napping)
Many players were saying this was all a joke, but I'm glad it isn't; they look awesome!
As if I needed any more reasons to make a Panda...
not bad looking better than the worgen mounts.
Hurry! No time to explain, jump on my turtle!
for the pvp mounts they could just do Blue and Red the other usual colours for faction mounts and i think they would look better with 2 heads
I remember WC3 Dragon Turtles, awesome.
