Some things sound good (scenarios, challenge modes, new bg's/raids/instances) but some things sound rather bland like farms and pet battles. I'll definitely get MoP, probably even the CE, but I'm reserved in how I feel about it so far. I hope it turns out well though, it certainly sounds interesting.
Thanks for posting this info, looks like MoP is going to be better than a lot of people hoped for. Especially with targetting Garrosh! Even Alliance prefers Thrall over Garrosh! Thrall we respect, even in the midst of conflict, but Garrosh is nothing more than an overblown bully with a pea brain. My one concern is regarding the mention of challenges and guilds. I'm seeing a growing trend where huge guilds are catered to, while small guilds are just left in the dust. There are a lot of players who don't LIKE being in a big guild, regardless of it being capped with all the perks and goodies. Including myself. I've played since BC and while the perks can be fun, I don't 'need' them to play. I much prefer having a smaller group of people you get to know and become real friends with, rather than getting lost in a mob of players who tend to form cliques even within a guild and thereby leave out other players who wind up excluded from things. In the process, if you have some big guilds effectively controlling things on a realm, which is what the proposed guild changes seem to indicate, then these very same elitist types will gleefully bully other guilds and exclude anyone not in their clique. As a guildmaster myself, I have a hard enough time recruiting people on a realm with several huge guilds. This is something that could well force people into a big guild environment they really don't like just to be able to MAYBE participate in some things, no guarantees because as I said, the main folks in a guild can easily hoard the best content for themselves, IF what was described comes to pass.I never liked big guilds even before cata, precisely because of the elitist jerks factor. I really hope this isn't something that will cater to them while making things even harder for those of us with small guilds. As a small guild guildmaster, just wanted to point out what it seems is being overlooked and speak out for the rest of small guilds in general. For those of you with full character slots, feel free to re-roll some alts on Drak'Thul and look me up, I'll be glad to have you in my baby guild! lol! Speaking of which, I saw no mention of expanding character slots...with all the new content, new race, options. it seems like a huge oversight if Blizzard fails to expand our slots and thus forces long time players to have to eliminate cherished toons just to experience this new content with their ingame friends. I do hope they address this, as well.Just my two cents, next!
On another note, it seems like they are reworking channeled spells to expend mana per tick, rather than in bulk upon click.
Garrosh being the final boss?GOOD, horde needs a new leader anyways.
I'm glad to see more people praising MoP versus bashing it. It aaaaallllll sounds awesome! I can't wait!
Female Pandaren are so cute! Makes me want to go out and get a fat little girlfriend! (minus the claws - I have silk bedsheets)
will brewmasters be able to use shields?
The only reason the Allies couldn't kill Garrosh before was because I kept kiting Gamon into the Alliance AoE. Chaos and hilarity always ensued.
What is the creature in image 20? And also does anyone else think the farming is a response to player housing since it does say you get to decorate your building?
Em... Liliana Vess ? In Scholomance? Come on, blizzard, you could've been more subtle...
I swear to god, if Baine doesn't honor his father now and take place of Garrosh as Warchief, I'm gonna flip a $%^&*...Unless Thrall comes back. I'm cool with that too.
Overall I am pleasantly survived by the info-dump. One thing I'd like to see is Garrosh being attacked because of a large Alliance counter-attack threatening the homelands of the other horde races, not just because he does something that the other Horde races view as horrific (ie. the Alliance is getting thoroughly beaten and can only be saved by the Horde races timely intervention), it'd just be a bit depressing to spend another expansion watching the Alliance getting the stuffing kicked out of them, followed with them being rescued by the Horde. One other thing I'm a bit worried about is if things like this "Farmville" clone become effectively required playing if you want to be competitive as a raider, as, for me it holds the same interest as the pet battles (ie. none) and being forced to tend to a farm every day just to make sure my gear is good enough to raid would likely drive me insane.PS. Did anyone else notice the "Bubble-hearth" Glyph, the "Glyph of Righteous Retreat", I LOLed :-D
Did anyone else noticed issues with the text?Mistweaver is the most prominent one. A couple of "tthe" and spaces in between numbers follows.
I think that killing Garrosh its a great idea! My husband told me the reason he isn't horde anymore is because he cant stand Garrosh. He is all about thrall and how is stands for everything horde. Now I'm an Alliance but i still think Thrall is awesome and i miss him being in charge. I think its a great idea, i always thought he would go crazy and we would have to kill him. Cook idea. FOR THE ALLIANCE AND FOR THE HORDE! =D
