Yeah I am bailing after this month of mine is finished. There are just other MMOs I want to play, and I know MoP will be the same rehashed thing I have done numerous times already. Grinding got boring for me.Like the other MMOs out there don't have some sort of grinding aspect to them? And yeah, the whole new island of Pandaria and all the new creatures and dungeons are going to be rehashed. The only thing that you might consider rehash is the new Scarlet Monastery they'll remake for level cap, which a lot of people will find useful yet others will still scream 'rehash'.Well no, but the end content is going to be the same. Probably won't be long before they add in another silly daily thing like Argent Tourny or the Firelands thing. And I don't care if the other MMOs are grindy, I haven't done that grinding for 4+ years.
I really think that TOR only did so adequete because it copy pasted about 80% of the game from Wow. Give it a few more months it will be flushed down the same hole as Rift, Conan, Aeon, Wahammer, etc. And Im just gonna say this now, so will Guild Wars 2. Blizzard really cornered the MMO market with wow.Anyway give MOP a chance, that trailer was obviously rushed tobe out in time for Blizzcon. I wouldnt have even minded it if it werent the way they presented it... "First we faced the demon lords of the burning legion... then death itself rose up against us... we survived the breaking of the world..." Then the badass music fades out to pandas lol.

Argent Tourney was the same; the daily hub only connection to Trial of the Champion was learning how to Joust and didn't have any real connection to Trial of the Crusader.Edit: Also, you left out the Shattered Sun Offensive, where the quests had to be done to open up the wings of the Sunwell. Oh! And the AQ War Effort! But then again, you don't have to do the grind so it shouldn't affect you that much.
I think the only thing that pisses me off with world of warcraft is that they keep increasing the level cap with every expansion. That level 60 everyone worked soo hard to perfect .. ruined by BC, that level 70 everyone then worked soo hard on, ruined by WotLK, that level 80 everyone had to master .. ruined by cata and all the "bind to battle.net" items. So now when pandas arrive ... all the 85's will become weak, all the content increased yet again.I understand the need for "bigger, better, newer" things. but i feel i would have much more pleasure playing this game if the original level cap was still in place, that casual new players didnt have to work for months in order to finally join senior players. And then take even longer to match others in "pvp". which to me is mostly a joke. I've experienced battles on other MMO's that had 3 factions, each numbering in 30-50 people all merging together to fight. THAT was PVP.Hell, I think I would enjoy this game more if doing raids and pvp actually benefited your faction as a whole and not just "yourself"That "neutral" zone to take over ... it unlocks an awesome NO limit, open world raid for the controlling faction that can get spoiled by the opposing faction if they take back the zone. That "war artifact" your faction just took into their territory ... it increases experience, money gain, crit chance, or even increased stats until its taken back. That raid that was completed, it just gave an excessive buff that lasts a day or two and through death to your whole faction.
You gotta love the irony... 7 years of WoW - World of Whinecraft!WHINE:1. To utter a plaintive, high-pitched, protracted sound, as in pain, fear, supplication, or complaint.2. To complain or protest in a childish fashion.3. To produce a sustained noise of relatively high pitch: jet engines whining.Pick the one you like the most:D
It seems like a big deal, but I really doubt that subscriber loss had much impact on the bottom line - after all, there are still over 10 million subscribers.Nothing will really kill WoW until Blizzard shuts down the servers for good.

Lfr will help but I don't know that it could completely turn the tide.
Though, from what I've been hearing the Battlenet Friend Raids seem to be working as well; people on the different servers who are friends are grouping up to run the stuff....we'll see if that helps as well: Won't assist the guilds on servers, but may create something more.
Well, there are always exceptions to the assumptions people make by painting everyone with a broad brush and I'm one of them, apparently. I've been playing since launch, and while I've had to take breaks here and there over the years for one reason or another (got way burnt out raiding BC for instance and now I cannot STAND that xpac or those zones), I've always come back. Cataclysm? LOVED IT. Why?-New races that aren't horribad (sorry, I can't stand space goats).-Revamped starting zones with new quests (LOVE LOVE LOVE the redone Forsaken starting areas! New phasing like in Westfall is awesome, too.)-An overall advance in the world story lines including more depth and character progression for existing faction leaders (Sylvanas, Thrall, Tyrande, etc).-FORSAKEN HUNTERS.-RAID FINDER.-Cata zones are visually breathtaking and have fun themes (my favorite being Uldum).-Warriors are finally in a place where it's not painful to play them for both tanking and questing.-Excellent cinematic cut scenes for certain monumental quests (like when you ride with Sylvanas through Silverpine and she's firing her bow as if it's just simply an extension of her being, killing Worgen invaders left and right).-Quest givers inside the dungeons.-Larger variety of awesome looking beasts for hunters to tame.-A move away from LK instancing which encouraged bad play and made bad players. No more having a paladin drop consecrate and having everyone just AOE through the dungeon. It's more like vanilla now where you need CC and tactics. THANK YOU, BLIZ!I'm sure I've missed something, but that gives you an idea. I've loved Cata. And I'm a vet. And I'm staying, because this is a fun game to me.i agree with u but u forgot to add the disadvantagies of cata...1:questing may be much funnier but in ovrall its much more...eassier!2:before cata u were spitting blood to actually get every ep to exalted(and im talking for classic/tbc repps mostly)3:while the first cata raids(BWD,TOT4W,BOT)were really nice and challenging(especially on hc),FL and DS are to my opinion much eassier4:it was really nice when they improved the game graphics(water colution etc..)but overalll graphics which needed to change still remain the same!(i mean that we are all borred of the same land on durotar....)5:While on 4.1 healling/dpsing was awesome(u had mana problems if u werent carefull and all the fights(even hcs dungeons) required all of your cds) now u barelly get under50% of your mana and still doing some really good healling!i mean come on blizz!make healler's life a bit more interesting!6:i love the quest lore on 60- as well(and actually im creatting toons over and over again just to redo those quests) but they needed to change questing on outlands(currently the most boring quest place in wow by far)and make wrath quests a bit more interesting(challenging)now cause i know that u are probably going to hate me id like to say this:all these are just my opinion!any corrections are welcome :Pand sorry for the low lvl of my english!
2:before cata u were spitting blood to actually get every ep to exalted(and im talking for classic/tbc repps mostly)Um...actually, most of the Vanilla reps were about the same as they are now: Argent Dawn was actually much easier back in the day, since you could just grind out Scholo or Strat during BC/Wrath era. Timbermaw is easier as is the Darkmoon Faire. Waterlords is roughly the same. Scale of the Sands were 'easier' back then since you could get others to help; now it's just a major instance grind. As for BC: Those reps haven't really changed, the only difference that Cata added in was very recent, where City tabards now work in the dungeons and the change to Sporregar; now, when you run Underbog normal, you get rep for the Spore people but they didn't do that for Heroic(which actually makes it a little harder). but they needed to change questing on outlands(currently the most boring quest place in wow by far)and make wrath quests a bit more interesting(challenging)They want to do a revamp of both Outland and Wrath eventually, to match the changing lore.
I honestly feel like Cata could have been a content patch (1-60 revision/dungeon/world updates). Deathwing as a villain just fell kind of flat, it lacks the iconic presence of all the previous expansions. The problem I see is BC had 3 major lore villains from the WC3 games, LK had Arthas & Old gods, information about the Makers, etc, And then Cata was just like... some crap somebody pulled out of a hat. Oh boy a dragon. Hey I have one of those as a mount *snooze*.they could have taken a real step forward and gone with something really lore heavy like the emerald dream, and then done their panda tie in that way, or conversely focussed on the lore of the ancients/makers. Like Brann Bronzebeard discovering some kind of data leading to the credibility of the existence of the pandaren. But instead they went with the "post wrathgate/post LK world in chaos/all-out war/oh look a dragon" storyline and it just kind of fell flat. They took things that alot of people loved and kind of took them in a not-good direction. I had an active account from day 1up till they re-released ZA/ZG last year, and finally un-subbed. I'm not really a gamer, per-se, so it's really the only game I played. I'd like to come-back for MOP but WoW is quickly losing the spark that made me fall in love with it in the first place by alienating it's long-time subscription base and ignoring it's own vast wealth of intellectual properties.
What's dissapointing that after all the bad feedback Cata received overall from the active players, they still are satisfied............
I do like the worgen and goblins, that is one part of cata that I've been happy with since day 1. The goblins are so cute and the first section of their start zone is some of the most hilarious questing ever...the rest of theirs though sadly starts to drag out really bad and I don't like that I can't skip it once I've completed the zone once (need account wide achieves, get an achieve for completing it which unlocks the ability to leave early imo...same for worgen)I love the mood and feel in the worgen start areas and changing my tauren hunter to a worgen has been so awesome, still has the animalistic feel but I don't get stuck in doorways and feel like I have two left hooves :D
Too many hypocrites out there. Cataclysm was amazing. Pandaria will be too. I'm done.May I add that a lot of nostalgic people "think" the game was better during it's vanilla days, but honestly don't realize what they're talking about. True veterans would tell you how much the game has improved and been shaped to fit into our lives without consuming our whole day doing just one thing.

Not many will contest you. However, Cata was not really all that fantastic. As has been said by someone I can't remember or else I'd totally quote them: BC had gameplayWrath had storyCata had neither
There is a huge difference even from 2 years ago (or is it 3 now O.o ) when I started playing. It is so much easier in general to get things. They're just taking out all the challenge. I'm kind of excited for MoP. A lot of cool things are going to happen...well they seem like they're going to be cool. Guess we'll find out! (Unless they ruin the female Pandaran model... Then I most likely wont be playing.)
i think the creators of WoW need to up there game. lets start with Cata, It was good but it is no WoLK and Dragon Soul is by far no ICC.. It seems like they just put together a quick unthought of expansion and marketed to it players. Now with this panda crap with so much more of the lore they could have used they go with pandas REALLY! i mean what is this WOW for 5year olds.... they need to get there stuff together and give us something we'll never forget>>>>>>>

Not a suprise to be honest... Im still playing, wont ever quit, but i understand why everyone quit. I was here since mid TBC, staying through pandaria but blizz has been dissapointing a lot.
