My favorit class in RPGs is thief.
In WoW, I'm a Retribution Paladin. Personally, I prefer to play a melee class that has some magical abilities, but typically is hard hitting mainly. I feel like when I play a mage or other kind of caster, that I'm a bit too squishy for my own comfort. That said, I don't mind trading off of being purely hand-to-hand for some good ol' fashioned ranged fighting with a Hunter or magic-user like a Mage or Warlock.
I usually play a caster and I love playing casters because they can be glass-cannons at times but they are a lot of fun.
I'm typically the crazy kid that'll make a melee wizard; I love the idea of a sword-swinging caster who can chop off your arm or melt your face off, depending on her mood.
Frontal assault melee. I love the feel of charging in and bashing face with some massive weapon. You casters can stand over there and wiggle your fingers. I'll go get the job done.
Most of the time I play a rogue, being sneaky with assassinations, charismatic turning people to my side, but if I can throw so magic in their I will. Ive tried the demo and I'm for sure gonna be daggers/chakram rogue ;)
My usual class is The Paladin, because I love the feeling of playing as a man who uses blessed light powers and swords to vanquish Evil in the name of an expecific Deity. This is greatly influenced by my love of the times of the Crusades, being a huge historical researcher concerning them.
It depends on how balanced the classes are. I generally take the ranged and magic classes, but if they are underpowered then I go for fully armored warriors. For KoA:R I really enjoy using the might tree with hammers.
If possible, I like to go for the battle-mage type hybrid... Nothing feels more awesome than slicing your opponents into small chunks then frying them with a massive meteor storm, or augmenting your weapons with magic for much more powerful effects, all while moving too fast for anything to hit you. Also, I'm a sucker for dual-wielding things just because they look cool, and if you've seen the Faeblades in this game you would agree with me.
Im usually in the range role in rpgs, wow i play a elemental shaman, borderlands i played as roland who who was a soilder, mass effect i was a shoot em up shepard, fallout i focused on guns and energy weapons. though after playing the demo i might decide to go melee in this game to switch things up.
I love playing magelike classess in nearly all rpgs. Im nearly always mage sorceror or necromancer.
I tend to prefer a ranged type in these kind of games - an archer or mage depending on how I feel. Usually archer as that lends itself more to the roguish style as well.
I'm usually a warrior or tanky type class... it really depends on what the group structure is that i play with though. For single player games... i'm usually wearing the heaviest armor i can find and using the largest weapon i can find to go with it....
I typically always go for a magic swordsman type of character, slashing up people here and there and catching them on fire or what have you. But it never really ends up working out for me :(
I usually start out as a basic Warrior type to get a feel for the game, then I roll out with a stealthy, long ranged, sniper type character. If Possible. Otherwise I just go with a character that has a fast melee attack speed, so that I feel like i'm "stinging like a bee". Also Feb 9th is my birthday! XD
I love the sword and board...I tank playing WoW now on a pally. I've seen a few demo's of this game earlier and I'm wondering how the MMO will stand up when it's released.
Thanks for the chance at these great prizes!I always start as a spellcaster. I'm looking forward to playing a mage/rogue in Reckoning though!
I enjoy healer/casters the most, so I usually play those.
I love casters, just attack from a safe distance and have that mythical feeling :)
What an awesome giveaway! Thanks so much!I tend to play ranged classes in RPGs, which might sorta be at odds with the fact I tend towards tanks in MMOs. Not sure why that is.Thanks again for the chance to win!
