I usually play a healer role in RPGs. I like having the responsibility of the rest of the party in my hands and it keeps me honest since when I play damage, I have a tendency to let my mind wander during really long fights.
I usually play caster dps classes. the caster dps class for Amular is AMAZING. A lot of fun to play :D
Well, generally speaking I prefer the role of a magic wielder. No matter the game or type, I find myself constantly drawn to the allure of manipulating the forces around people to slay, injure, or benefit them. There's something immensely satisfying about hurling a massive molten boulder (Or ball of negative gravity, depending on the game) into someone's face and watching it melt. Games with incredibly complex magic systems are pretty much guaranteed to catch my appeal. Combo-based spellcasting (Which I've actually experimented with in the Reckoning demo!) is excellent; yet another layer of complexity to mah spellz? Yespls. That said, I also find myself gravitating towards the stealthy thief-like roles. Pretty much anything with some sort of intrigue, complexity, or general lack of 'IM GOING TO PUNCH YOU IN THE MOUTH WITH A BLADE' mentality is good in my books. The ultimate draw, in my mind? A stealthy mage. Prime Example? Touch/illusion mages in Oblivion. Sneak up on someone, devastate them with close-range spells or poisons before they know what's going on, and sneak off. All that's left behind is sparkly loot and ashes!
Generally always play as a caster type, though I had always preferred more of a caster-rogue which I am excited to play as eventually.
I normally play some sort of ranged dps, whether it be a caster or bow damage dealer in RPGs.
Warrior, just me, a big weapon and legions of enemies to slaughter!
2H Dps Warrior All the way <3
Usually it's a mage or ranged class type but sometimes I just feel the itch to pick up a melee class and go slashing away. :D
I usually just play a caster, or caster/melee class in RPG's.
Usually play the Rogue Sneaky Assassin type classes. Best way to go imo.
Caster DPS is what i do no matter the RPG, whether it be MMO, Pen and paper, normal RPG's
I almost always start with a rogue/assassin type, but I usually end up trying everything.
I usually playing a warrior or roguish type, preferably both:)
I would normally play a sort of rogue-mage in a single player RPG and a healer in an MMORPG
I always play a caster-type class, or if I feel up to it, a hybrid. But I favor casters. I don't generally always play the same class in all MMOs. Takes me time to research and figure out what I like - usually though healer or tank (caster tank is fun!).
I've never been one to stick to a specific role. More often than not, this has resulted in getting the most fun out of a hybrid/multi-class character. Rangers, blackguards, and the like tend to be where I have the most fun.
A jack of all trades, when applicable. If I have the opportunity to do everything, I sure as heck won't pass it up.
In most rpgs I am usually a dps melee but on MMO's I tend to be a caster most usually a healer
Depends on the game:Given group RPGs (like final fantasy) i prefer the warrior type, big 2 hander smashing through things. When it's more skyrim or first person type, where possible my preference is on a sneaky and/or archer type character.I prefer to either be able to take my time and shoot, or be quick and smashy about it, I've never been fond of running in head first and shooting, or trying to hang back and hack away at them with a sword.
