I usually play a Shaman
I don't think I've ever played anything other than a Warrior as a first character in an RPG. The whole stand back and let the magic do the work dealio was never my thing. I like to get up close and personal to crush some skulls.
Normally i play a warrior or some warrior mage hybrid if possible
in most all RPGs, i go for the nature based healer/dps. But in the rare case that either of those arent in the game, i'll just go with the generic rogue or some sort of necromancer :3but you dont find too many healer classes in games, at least not in RPGs that dont have any multiplayer, so im almost always some sort of wizard in general.
Paladin if avail, if not Ranger
I usually start out with a nice fighter type character. I like just being the big guy up front knocking some dudes out with a shield.
I tend to play Warriors or Rogues :D:D
Honestly, as of late I've been playing everything. I like melee. I like tanking. I like healing. I like ranged. Though, I tend to enjoy hybrid classes more because I can swap roles later if I decide to do so. I enjoy Healing the most. ^_^ I however, am not afraid to learn new types of classes or roles if a game introduces something extremely unique. Yes, I admit I'm lazy and let the others in my team do stuff and heal, heal, heal. However, in RPGs lately I've been enjoying the ranged with a bow. I can confirm I am over 18, a citizen of the United States (California), and am eligible for this contest even though I won't win cause of my bad luck.
I usually like ranged characters (Hunters/rangers Mages/Warlocks) Ideally I play a hunter type class, characters of the woods and one with nature. There is something to be said for a person that can track any animal, and communicate with them as well. The mass confusion with playing melee is too neurotic for me most times, especially when the tank can't hold aggro and whatever u r fighting is all over the place.
Rogues! I love to do it hard and fast and from behind.
Mage type classes!
I usually seem to stay away from casters and healers, so that leaves me with melee damage roles :)
Usually I pick the caster characters, they are always awesome. The only problem is, that I'm always jeaolus to warrior armours, and then I must start a new game with warrior aswell. :C
I usually play a mage. Something about raining mass destruction from afar brings out a maniacal little laughter at their helplessness.
I only have two criteria in RPGS for a character. I have to be able to use a sword and I have to wear plate. Understandably this limits my options... :)
It has to be an offensive caster or healer type for me every time. I usually end up rolling a tank or support class once I'm settled and when one is needed, as demand changes I end up with a range of each class but still keeping my casters close to heart!
I tend to stick away from spells or small bladed weapons, prefering more into medium length weapons equipped with a short ranged, range weapon to take out foes with stealth
Usually I play a warrior. Nothing beats plate armor and a huge sword! :)
I normally like to play a kind of rogue/archer archetype, but as a designer I normally try a bit of everything. Getting a taste of it all, whether I like it or not, will help me design better in the future.
For Kingdoms, I think I'll be playing a rogue. The dual wield is awesome, but the class seems the most fun.
