IDK why people are QQing about this... If you were only doing Arenas and RBGs for gear you really shouldnt spend your time playing wow or any video games for that matter. The whole point of them is to have fun and personally I still plan to do Arenas and RBGs but regular bgs are still fun and you can get honor and hks from regular bgs while capping out.
I like this change. It brings pvp progression into line with pve progression, allowing people to do what content they want, when they want, and still have some meaningful progression.I actually like the numbers too. No-one can really cry about it catering to 'casuals'**, since it still requires a minimum of 26 BG wins per week to cap points. That is still a fair time commitment, and it takes some skill due to them having to be wins.**
Finaly you Can get CP From random Bg. No More losing raiting in RBG cuz I want the cap :D
Also, I just worked it out, and no matter how much people QQ about it, NO ONE will be "swimming in welfare pvp gear". Even assuming people use BGs to reach the cap every single week (which will take a lot of effort using only random BGs, not everyone will be capping using this), it will still take just over 16 weeks to get a full set of conquest gear. I think this looks like a geat change, I dont know why Blizzard hasn't done it sooner.
That means 350-420 VPs in 1 hour considering the most lazy ZG/ZA boss combo. Pugs won't get far in new HCs for quite a while. Final nerfed LFR gear (barely new tier) and removal of mounts looks fair though
So basically in 4.3 the easiest way to farm valor points will be to do older heroics, not raids. I assume VP gear will be bad compared to raid or even new dungeon drops, else it would be really weird for Blizz to do something like that: make life easier and grind faster.
I love this idea, I never felt comfortable doing arena's and rbg's. At least now I can go back to pvping more like I used to.
My concern about this is that it will potentially destroy RBGs (no reason to run them except titles and mount = even longer queues) and 2v2 queue times. Not to mention that this will most likely bring out even more bots. I hope they plan on addressing that issue very very soon or it'll be (yet again) a matter of which side has the least bots/afkers.
