Hm...To do it...nor not.
They will email you with information once the beta test starts!
so i, signed up, redemed a code.. to be on the list? pfft.. what a waste of time
this a contest or do we really get our own key?
its a possible Blizzard virus, a lack of information virus spreading from blizzard to wowhead forums lol
Oi.BioWare has only been testing on the weekends for public beta. That means when you get your key, you won't be able to download the game until Thursday night and then you can play on Friday when the testing begins. They will send you another email telling you when the beta begins and all sorts of other things. None of the beta keys for phases done so far have been "log in whenever you want" deals. Invites are sent during the week and testing is done that weekend. After testing, everything is wiped. Quit being impatient and jumping to conclusions. OP should edit their post and say that the invites aren't immediate because the beta servers aren't even open to the public right now and that the event is for an upcoming weekend and to wait for the email for it.
There is a stress test every weekend I believe. This is exactly what Blizzard did during WoW. I was a BT1, BT2, and CB tester for WoW and during Stress Tests, they ran them on weekends and then whoever had a Stress Test account, their account would become inactive after the period of time given.I am in the SWTOR Beta, and There was a Stress Test this weekend, and I believe there will be one for every weekend from now on. The reason is more people will be available to sign on during the weekend, as opposed to playing during the week where many people have jobs, school and families to attend to. BioWare will most likely send you an email to download the client, like they did with the Beta Testers from before.
Oh BTW, when I had to Download the client and the patcher had to patch the game, it took a good 7 hours DLing at 2.2MB/s...So as soon as you get your patcher download, I'd start patching ASAP and leave it running all day just to be sure.
Hehe, got it now! At least 1 contest I won... :D
Its for the Last closed beta stress test sometime this month (on a weekend Fri-Sunday) you can download/preload the client later on before the test starts (It's around 30GB) so make sure you have it when its available last weekend they also a stress test where they sent out a bunch of invites to test the servers, in the next one everyone can go on and help stress test (so that when the game goes live they know if they can handle the massive load on release date)TL;DR its for a later stress test weekendI've played it the game is alot of fun when you complete a Class quest you can do a survey on Voice Acting/Gameplay/Story as well as post some bugs you've found in the comments.P.S. every class has its own story which is cool
This is old 11-13, no longer valid. Needs to be removed.
lol...Login to ZAM using Wowhead info.....not validFill out new user info, says will get password emailed to me......no e-mailLog into ZAM with Wowhead user name, and hit "forgot password" button, Get e-mail to reset password, reset it, Login to ZAM....not valid. FML
This is not a contest, it is first come first serve on who gets the beta keys. Go make an account with ZAM and SW:TOR and you'll get a key. It isn't a scam, seeing as there isn't anything they can get from you aside from email and phone numbers which can be easily found anyway.
I decided to sign up on behalf of my boyfriend. .Funnily enough, by the time he got home both the email confirmation about the SWTOR beta key redemption had gone through,as well as an invite to the Diably III Beta. He's adorable when he's excited about a new game.> v <
Wow, I didn't expect to see this much hate in these here comments.O_o I feel a bit like I need to go hug something cute...
Yay more players to flood the servers and crash them more often, anyways I have beta and I don't play I may try it again before its live(near the end of beta) but my pre-order is cancelled and your opinion of the game may vary.
