Thanks for this feature. In the future tools you will be releasing I would like to see new database filters for whether an item is "transmogriable"(?) and also a note on the item's page stating if you can transmog it.
I have not seen the set that you can make with the Dungeon drops (and some quest rewards) from Cata (I was looking for the plate one, but I guess the others are also missing). Meaning the set that will come with this shoulders Cinnabar Shoulders (just to put an example) and its different recolors.Edit: I did gather the whole plate dps set in here: http://ptr.wowhead.com/items=4.4?filter=minle=346;maxle=346;si=1;ub=1;cr=45:46:146:23;crs=3:3:1:3;crv=0:0:0:0#modelviewer:4:1;76376;3;76746;5;76383;6;76381;7;76385;8;76382;9;76386;10;87531:1+0The heling one is kind of a greyish recolor and the tanking one is a brown one.
Your team is just amazing. This tool perfect !
I'm getting page not founds when trying to add a comment to some of the sets.Namely there is a variation of the Northrend Plate that you guys missed (that I'm planning to use for my paladin), and I was trying to put a comment linking to the compare screen with the full set. Always sent me to the "Wait... how did you do that?" page. The comment does show up after refreshing the page though.
To start off: awesome work on the sets and a great feature for 4.3.To chime in with other commenters: adding the sources would be something I'd love to see.I added the sources for 3 items in the comments; but I'm definitely tag would be awesome as well ;-)
I feel a giant time sink coming on.
I absolutely love this feature, it should make it much easier to find sets that appeal to me. I have to ask, though - are there plans to expand the gallery to include every race/gender combination, as well as the shirt vs. robe option some of the cloth sets have? Some sets look rather different, depending on your race and gender. 'Masked' sets tend to clash with dwarven beards, for instance.the 3rd model lets you see the armor set on different races but you need java or flash to use itThanks - I am aware of that; that's what I've been doing up to this point - using the previous fourth 'Matching Greens' Transmog guide for green items sets, looking up each darn one on nearly every race/gender combo... that takes a lot of time. The picture gallery here, on the other hand, is a quick at-a-glance way to see which sets appeal to you. For that reason, I'd have loved the option to pick the race/gender combo first, and then go to a picture gallery for the at-a-glance images.Of course, that'd mean the gallery would have to be remade for 23 more models, plus variations on vest/robe for certain cloth sets, and so on. That's why I wondered if that was 'planned for' - I'm well aware it'd be a massive undertaking, but I'm lazy, so I had to ask. This is a great feature. Pity I have no human female characters - but at least I can now quickly see colors/textures that interest me, and then pursue the 3D model viewer. :-)
This is fantastic. Cheers.
i like the idea of being able to have some old gear(set) but i can see alot of items not being there. spellweave, ebonweave items for example suit blood elf females but didn't find any, not saying they wont be there in the end,so your final look could take an age to sort out,it will be interesting to see what ppl are running around wearing when this goes live
I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS.
Are they going to bring back some of the models that are 'no longer available in game'? I am looking to build a set that includes the Tier-6 (or equivalent) warlock helm (like the Vengeful Gladiator pieces) but appears the PVP versions are no longer available. Guess it's back to farming the Hyjal raid.

Guess it's back to farming the Hyjal raid. This is something I'd love to know. I never got a chance to finish my old Darkmantle Armor and had to dump the pieces I did get to complete due to lack of bank space. It's one of the most beautiful rogue sets in the game (second only to Bloodfang, in my opinion), so I'd love to be able to get it again. *crosses fingers that they'll bring back look-alike pieces*
@nobleknight, I think Darkmoon Faire is bringing back old Dungeon 2 sets. Check this out: http://www.wowheadnews.com/blog=197208/4-3-darkmoon-faire-preview-guideNear the bottom there is a Replica set table that shows the Darkmoon Faire ticket costs for each set piece. And , if that also helps. So Dungeon 2 sets are coming back. And yes, I'd also like to know if Vicious Gladiator pvp gear is coming back. Priest's T6 with blue/red recolor is particularly BA.
The Transmog guide keeps showing some sets that are only available to warlocks and priests when filtering for Mage available sets. Just thought you guys should know! =) Thanks for all your hard work on this thought!
Ashelia, any chance we see sets such as the Blood Kights' (I mean all the NPC factions sets) among these sets in the future?
So I'm not 100% sure what the deal is with all, this... So I have to have the items i want to Transmogrifi? Or do you have like a drop down list from the vender? eather way, can't wait to have an new/old look.
You actually need to have both the item you want to equip for the stats and the item you want for the look. Using Transmogrification make an item look like another while not loosing its stats, but you need to have both of them. There is no "drop down list" :(
I was wondering if Transmogrification worked on weapons to? And to what extent?
Vengeful Gladiator PvP gear is coming back--they announced at Blizzcon that it would be available in 4.3, and on the PTR soon at Area 52 :)
it would be nice if there were a list of weapons that would go with each set, like how the Staff of Immaculate Recovery matches the priests avatar set (this is something i would like to see so that i know what weps actually look good with certain transmog sets)
