I like wow's graphics :(, I just hope that the character model updates happen soon.
I raged when I found out blizz was taking away talent trees. No, I'm not listening to anyone's argument about how there are still talent trees. There aren't. I looked into ToR and found that they have talent trees. It's pretty much like spacewow. I'm going to be playing it not because it's new or innovative, i'm going to be playing it because it reminds me of what wow used to be. And to all you effing panda lovers out there.. I was pretty miffed when I found out we were going to be doing a kung fu effing panda expac.. It seems like a classic out-of-touch executive bonehead blunder, you can totally see some @#$%^& in a board room saying "AHA! Kids LOVE pandas!". I honestly wondered where the eff they got that from.. Did they seriously wade through years of comments to finally see the writing on the wall that what the community really wanted, no! DEMANDED! was effing pandas? My twelve year old daughter is too cool for effing pandas. So for those of you who say you always wanted to play a panda, grats. I'm out. That's another problem. I'm not a kid, I'm a thirty year old machinist. My boss from work, a fifty something director of manufacturing, was a loyal wowist until this same thing, too. He's already gone to ToR, and I'm going, too. Blizz forgot that a lot of adults played wow, and we didn't necessarily feel like we were a target demographic for effing pandas. It was funny to cancel my subscription.. There are all these windows popping up for you to click different reasons why you're leaving. Conspicuously absent were boxes to click for effing pandas and talent trees. I know we've had these scares before. For AoC and Warhammer and Rift, I stood firmly by wow's side and they flopped. But ToR is the real deal wowkiller. Right when wow discontent is cresting, here comes a game that reminds us what we loved about wow, but with lightsabers and by bioware. Last post, I'm buying ToR today and I will only be playing mmorpgs with talent trees and no effing pandas, tyvm.
Mentioned enough times for most players to know, that pandas are a part of the lore.Nevertheless it still does not remove the fact, that perception wise, it may come across as childish to some. Neutral myself since you need to see the actually implementation in MoP...but not everything in written lore translates well into visual aspects. I guess I will know when I look to my left and see a fat panda standing there breathing bamboo shoot breathe on my warrior whether it works or not :P
To those who try to write it off as Kung Fu Panda well....Po, and Chen in WC3, Chen in artwork, Chen in 'real life'; yeah, they just look so much alike /roll eyes
