Yea it is a free for all but it's pretty awful and possibly the most disappointing thing for me about Darkmoon Faire.1) There is always one group of people in a party killing people as they enter. This always ends up with the group inside the arena and everybody else sat outside so they don't die upon entering...Being in a party really defeats the idea of "free-for-all" and "deathmatch".2) People leave before they can die...also kinda annoying since it is a deathmatch and you don't even need to repair dying in there so pointless.Yes, I would agree that groups make the arena pointless for the casual player or those without a clique of people to dominate it with them. Disallowing people to party or raid together, but remain neutral, will not solve it. There have been a few times (at least on my server) that players from Horde and Alliance teamed up to help each other. They were obviously friends of one another, but validating that "fixing" the neutrality of party and raid members will not solve the problem. It will, however, allow them to take damage from each other, so reckless AE steamrolling people will minimize. The best suggestion I could offer is a debuff, similar to the one they used in the Arena matches at Blizzcon, with some modification. A stacking debuff entitled "Enduring the Arena" can be placed on the target every minute after their first kill on a target that yields honor or experience. Once this debuff reaches x stacks (10), it will change to "Marked for Death", where all healing taken is reduced by 50% and damage taken is increased by 25%. The debuff has a x minute duration (10) and can only be removed by dying within the Arena. As a side note, it is possible to make debuffs work only in a specified area, so they can make it only apply within the arena in case the player chooses to do other things. Also, an interesting Feat of Strength to add would be having a player complete a 2-part requirement: 1) Survive x consecutive minutes (10) inside the Death-Match Arena while under the effects of "Marked for Death", 2) Kill 100 players while being "Marked for Death". The Feat of Strength cannot be earned while in a raid or party. The Feat of Strength will hopefully encourage players not to abandon the arena because of the debuff, but encourage them to endure the arena like a Gladiator ... on their own. If they make it difficult enough, they can throw in a title and/or tabard.
You do know it's the same mechanic as the Gurubashi Arena Master achievement right?
You do know it's the same mechanic as the Gurubashi Arena Master achievement right?Yeah, its the same as Gurubashi arena, but the only thing different is that you cant run away.. you need to click the door and wait to get out.
So, apparently, I was incredibly wrong lol; if you have a server that has midnight before 12am PST, the faire is up early, so you can get some extra tickets the first night.
Apparently the achievements for turning in artifacts got reset at least for some people. I turned it about half of them on my alt and currently her achievements are completely fresh with no credit given for any artifacts I turned in last month. Also, some of the artifact quests didn't reset since last month's faire: I cannot start quests for two of the pvp artifacts this month.

Do we know if it is available all the time or just one week a month like now? Each month but ONLY at start of the month.
haven't read through all the comments, but the rewards for the profession quests are not right: it says 2 prize tickets for all. It should be 3 for the secondary profs and 4 for the primary.I actually calculated my prognosis based on this guid wrong, but it was a pleasant surprise ;-).
