in stormwind which ghost gives you the quest? i found the two "living" npcs in the graveyard but so many ghosts appear that I haven't seen the quest giver...
As sad as it is to lose the pet, I agree with Geline. Now, it might be nice to make an achievement for the pet, and to allow anyone with the achievement to pick up the pet from a vendor or something...
nice guide ty
Wow thanks, this really helped! It's really cool if you use Noggenfogger Elixir, and get both buffs while you have the pet out. Two small skeletons!Ummm, yeah, but if you do this you will lose the 12 hr DotD costume buff... /sadpandaEdit: However, if you go back and /dance with her again, you get the 12 hr buff back... /gladpanda-Z
Its a shame that the pet is still only around for the holiday it looks so awesome.
Much as I would selfishly love to have all noncombat pets be made permanent, in this case I can't agree that the ephemeral nature of the Macabre Marionette is a bug to be fixed.Blizzard has beautifully realized a traditional holiday celebrated worldwide: for one brief joyous time each year, we honor and commune with the spirits of our departed loved ones. When that time has passed, we put away our memorabilia and carry on with our lives - until next year.Someone more learned than I could probably go into the psychosocioanthropological underpinnings of the holiday, but for me: I wouldn't want to shlep around a tiny skeletal reminder of my father all year 'round!Well said! So we could hope Blizz makes the pet a permanent that can only be *used* the one day of the year? :-)
The ally moongaze tenderloin pat is easily gotten..make a throwaway Dranei toon....level it to level 4, and pick up the quest that rewards this non-binding pat, then ship said via a good friend and the neutral AH. That's how I get mine.
nice pet there
If you don't see the quest-giver, you are probably in the wrong graveyard. you need to be in in your race's city (or the city that represents you...like Org for trolls or Ironforge for dwarves)....((or maybe you don't have your contacts in--Here, you can borrow mine.))

I'm an idiot... playing Worg and since I found Catrina in SW I figured quest there too, guess I'm off to Darnassus
Ah, I always forget you have to go to your home cities Graveyard, I was like what the hell, good thing I checked here. Thanks for this guide for noobs like me ><
i want the cub! it just wants to be loved :D:D
Such a cute pet, but I do understand the sentiments of what someone else brought up in the comment thread, we remember and we move on!It kinda sucks that we don't celebrate the Day of the Dead in the UK. To have a couple days to think about our passed-on loved ones would likely make it less hard on us having to remember them the rest of the year. Also, so glad the marigolds aren't exclusive to the day... I may actually start collecting flowers in WoW and these ones are quite pretty! It would be homage to an old collection habit of mine in Ragnarok Online, hehe. Both games have a pretty extensive collection of flowers, some harder to get than others. These must be considered even rarer than the Stratholme Lily due to being available only one day of the year :)
When will we get to keep our Marionettes for good? :(
Hope i get one it looks Lovely and so cute :) Cheers For Blizzard! :)
is it still going on now?I hope I'm doing this right ,this my first comment :)
Yes,,, I want one
Kinda odd that it is 12:17 am, and technically now November 3, and I can still use my macabre marionette. We'll see if its still there tomorrow morning
