New Hallow's End is a bit too stinky for this gnome, but slaying the one called the Headless Horseman is not only a victory for the light and all who bask in it, but also a chance to dig through his pockets for shiny things... if you go for that sort of thing. I know there are a few fellas in Azeroth with horses in their pants, but he's the orangest.Brewfest has mythical creatures, gnomes in brew goggles, sausage, and dwarven invasions. What's not to love! Oh, and of course, it's the only time drunk ram riding is acceptable for non-dwarves, so that's a plus.So it's a tie for me between Hallow's End and Brewfest. I do collect companion pets, so I admit I might be biased. >_<I can't decide. BRAIN ANEURISM!(While not *exactly* a holiday, new Darkmoon Faire sounds like it might be my new favourite. Lots of fun activities to do while you're hanging out waiting for your brother to log on even though he said he'd be online an hour ago and he always does this, I mean really, wtf man.)
Yarr! 'Tis can only Pirate Day! I can has my long-lost booty from Stranglethorn and find me long lost love! It can only be the funniest holiday of the year full of reveling and rum! May your shails be full of wind and rum!...hic!
My favorite holiday is All Hallows for the Headless Horseman Instance.
Hallow's End, because honestly holloween is the best holiday. Everyones in costumes, eating candy, and playing tricks on eachother! LOTS of achievements, and for all those people saying brewfest, i say no. Because the people in chat going ...hic...hic..hic are like that kid who has one beer and starts slurring his speach and falling everyware, its annoying =] If it wasnt for those people, i'd consider brewfest as #1
Brewfest is my favorite because I enjoy celebrating along in real life as I play in the World of Warcraft. :-) I can drink my Dwarf Shammy under the table. :-)
I would have to say Hallow's End. The mystic atmosphere is just wonderful and all the lovely events are terrific!
Brewfest, for several reasons:1) Dwarves, nuff said.2) Ram racing, Disturbing the Peace, Almost Blind Luck, beating the Dark Irons while drunk... Do I have to say more?3) Brewfest Pony Keg, Brewfest Keg Pony and many other great items you can get.4) Brew of the Month club.5) "Sometimes you want to party hard, Thunderbrew's got ya covered! Check them out at Brewfest!" Also, it's the only place, where you can get Thunder 45.and 6) was my first step towards What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been.
Hallow's End is my absolute favourite WoW holiday!I live in Australia and we don't celebrate Halloween over here like they do in America. I never got to go trick or treating when I was a kid, no-one ever had any candy on Halloween!(And I had plenty of candy ready here for Halloween this year and only had a few kids at the door!)So trick or treating in Azeroth is a real treat for me! I love opening up my bag and seeing if I got another Sinister Squashling, and flying around on my instant mount broomstick!Mostly, I love seeing everyone's enthusiasm across the other side of the world during a holiday Aussies don't really celebrate!
Pilgrim's Bounty. Nothing beats power leveling cooking. Screw your stringy wolf meat. Running around enemy cities in nothing but the pilgrim suit brings laughs as well.
Noblegarden, mostly for being the holiday that was going on when I first started playing, I had lots of fun deciphering what the hell was going on =p
I like hallows eve, all the neat events, chances to get mounts, and even costumes, I get to dress up in game, like I do irl on halloween, I dress up as a dragon :) I'd link it but apparently you cant link offsite http://s597.photobucket.com/albums/tt51/firehopper/?action=view¤t=1233368284firehopper_img_5143.jpgif it dont show up, ask me and I'll send it
my favorite is midsummer fire festival you get great xp and the chance to put out those dirty ally fires ;)
Midsummer Fire Festival; I have the fondest memories of running around with my old main to find every single fire in each zone. And this was sometime during the Burning Crusade, so it took quite a while. I can't think of any real reason why I decided to run instead of talking to them flight masters, but I think I did find them all in the end.
I don't really have a favorite holiday because I like them all. Keeps the game from getting old and boring.
Hallow's End is far and away my favorite holiday almost solely due to the insta-cast broom mounts; they're a godsend.
Winter Veil. I love all the new toys every year and the fun of talking to other "old" players and comparing gifts to see who has been here since the beginning!
Lunar festival, I love the lore surrounding the creation of the Druids, and thus surrounding the Moonglade, and a holiday that focuses on Moonglade is amazing to me.
I love children's week cuz we can take that little adventurer and show the world to her!
My favorite holiday is totally Pirates' Day. It's not all... what's the word... commercialized? None of this 'run around grinding tokens for achievements' thing. Just pirates.
