In reference to anyone talking about how much the Pandaren look like Kung Fu Panda, check your lore. While Pandaren weren't a playable race yet they existed in Wow long before Kung Fun Panda. If anything, Kung Fu Panda resembles the Pandaren, not the other way around.
Darn, I really wish they would allow goblins to be Monks? I don't see the real reason that they can't be. Infact it is kinda weird that Worgen and Goblins were the only ones choose not to be monks, considering worgens are just changed Humans, theres no real visable lore based reason those two can't be monks if you know, Dreanai... Gnomes... Blood elfs can.
Pet battles sounds really cool, hopefully they have more health than normal.
honestly I'd rather have Pandarean druids than priestsyou know since Pandareans are ..... pandas which are .... animalsI don't agree with the new talent system because it won't allow much customisation. In this case I think more is better. We should have alot more options when it comes to how we play the games.for example, a healer could choose between casting multiple weaker spells fast or slower, more powerful ones, or the classic HOT, but the amount healed in the end being the sameor a tank choosing between absorbing or mitigating( dodges/parrys )
well I didn't look very well on the talents proposed for all classes but did get a very careful look at the druid setAlso lowering the the number of available talent points was already implemented on Cata even tough now it's on a larger scale, so we can imagine how it will feelpersonally I really like to play it my wayplus Blizz should already know by now that it is impossible to anticipate exactly what the player wants so more options would take the game closer to each player's expectationsfrom my point of view is throw in 60 various talents for all specs and allow the player to use them without limitations ( some of them should have limitations tho to prevent OP or insane situations
I quit playing WoW in June. Lately, I've been seriously considering coming back into it, back to the leveling, raiding, lore and what not. But coming to Wowhead and seeing this makes me feel ashamed. !@#$ing pandas, are you serious. Let's teach Blizz a lesson and just quit the game. This is ridiculous.
when is this being released? i want to prepare....................... =(
oh wow, the amount of qq is appalling. i have to say that these people have an astounding amount of foresight if they know they will hate the expansion based on previews from very early alpha, and are so confident that they claim that they wont even give the expansion a chance. or, it could just be that the majority of the vocal community is extremely shortsighted and dreads change to the point where if its not vanilla wow, its terrible and kiddie oriented and dumbed down. i am an extreme blizzard fan, but that doesnt change the fact that you all need to calm yourselves down and quit acting like you are individually important enough to have all your desires catered to in this game, or important enough that all your "pandas, pokemon, talents, im quitting" posts really have an effect on the rest of the community. im sure i speak for many when i say we who are looking forward to pandaria dont care if you quit, and frankly would enjoy the preview material to come all the more if you would just stop posting the same repetitive b&c'ing that only annoys us and draws our ire towards you. you arent obligated to play the game so quit being so butthurt that it isnt just the way you like it. go outside, read a book, or if thats too socially or intellectually involved, find another mmo to play.this isnt directed at those who intelligently posted about their misgivings toward the new expansion in a constructive way, but rather the one sentence post i referred to earlier that has been repeated time and time again in these 35 pages. i know i probably sound totally insulting but i get extremely annoyed when something blizzard has taken time and money to produce is judged so quickly without being given a chance.tl;dr: stop the qq, no one cares, dont play it if you dont like it, i know i come off as a pompous jerk but so are all of you. WALL OF TEXT
This is why mists of pandaria will be out soon:The Burning Crusade:Beta Start: 12. Oktober 2006Release Date: 16. January 2007Total Time: 96 daysWrath of the Lich King:Beta Start: 17. July 2008Release Date: 13. November 2008Total Time: 119 daysCataclysm:Beta Start: 30. June 2010Release Date: 7 December 2010Total Time: 160 daysSee this? Burning crusade and Wrath of the lich king beta's were short, cataclysm's was long due to all the extra stuff it added. However, burning crusade added 2 races and a new continent, but no new updated old world quests, and took 96 days to release after beta started.Wrath added 1 new class, and a new continent, but no new updated old world quests, and took a little longer to release, 119 days. So, since mists of pandaria is adding a new continent, 1 new race, and 1 new class, but no new updated old world quests, then that should mean that it should take around 100 days after beta is released to come out. So let's say beta starts in February 1st next year, and it takes 100 days to come out.It would be out may 10th, 2012. So ya, it should be out very soon by that logic.
Except...that doesn't really prove much. It will be out when it's out.
Um....how much? We know the zones, we saw stills of the opening parts of the instances, and we had an overview. As there isn't any move towards starting a Friends/Family Alpha yet....I'm not making any predictions about when it will be out based on numbers which don't really connect.
Hoping they modify the quality of the old-race textures. I'm not saying make them completely different, maybe just something to bring them all in line with the newer races. Also, really hoping that the Pandarens don't make the same noises as the companion pet. Nothing like a raid full of "HOOWAH!" "HIYA!" "OOOOUY!"Plus I don't like the fact that my Female Troll looks like she belongs in a N64 game. :<
