Couldn't have said it better myself, having just read my way through the entire set of posts. I personally don't raid at all, so yes I miss alot of game content but have worked my way to 85 on 2 alts simply through questing and on my own at that, almost totally solo. I don't have the time to devote to raiding and from watching my friends who raid I ave other things in my life than WOW, much as I love and escape to Azeroth every chance I get. It is a game, a pass time not a full time job. It is supposed to be fun and it seems to me that for a lot of you out there fun doesn't loom very large. I play for relaxation and for me at least I just get on with my alts regardless of the changes made. So be happy, have fun and remeber this is only a game.
When Endisia used an exploit on their first Lich King kill they had their accounts suspended for items what would be handed out freely within a few months. This is what the game is about. Back then it saddened me we are having ourselves bullied by clowns.
WAY TOO SOON Seriously, what is the damn rush? FL came out at the end of June and this has been far too short a shelf life for a major content patch. There were 6 months for the last tier of raids, why only 3 now? I can wait for 4.3 and I can wait a lot longer before you nerf FL for 4.3.Yes, only my opinion amongst many, but we are 4 out of 7 and don't want content downgraded for a long time yet. If Blizz really feel they need to rush out 4.3 (and the next expansion?) then I'm a bit perplexed - content should last longer before it is made obsolete. I think they are having major issues this expansion with pacing and difficulty tuning that they haven't had before. Stop pulling your player base around so much!At least add a third difficulty level below the current normal so these people they think aren't progressing fast enough can use the leg up given them and others can cary on with what is, in my opinion, a beautifully designed and well-tuned raid instance. Hotfixing major nerfs isn't the answer - it destroys the challenge in the active content. And the reason for the hotfix - to push people through FL faster so they are ready for the next patch rather than becasue the difficulty was poorly-tuned and too challenging - is a poor one: the patch can be released later and this "fix" is not required at all. I have thoroughly enjoyed this expansion and hope I continue to do so. What I dislike so much about this content downgrading is the feeling that I have to keep an eye on the ticking clock, that there is no time to be wasted frivolously, that we must progress as quickly as possible or we'll have the content, the challenge and the fun taken away.Either this needs to be delayed or it needs to be redesigned as an optional soft mode setting. And Blizzard really need to indicate before a patch is launched how long they expect the window to be before it is downgraded so people can plan how hard to go at a raid. Life isn't all about WOW and WOW isn't non-stop raiding.Very disappointed by this announcement.
Wow, nerfs already? I've been playing WoW since vanilla... in fact, I left EQ for it... and am so glad that I did. But the fact of all the bickering and panic is really causing me to question Blizzard and their decisions about WoW. I can see that WoW is the game to play until "WoW 2 (or whatever they call it comes out)," but the fact that they are ripping this expansion is causing me to question its longevity. I believe BUFFS that can be disabled is the way to go... but doing something that reduces ALL content for ALL players, even those of us who do not want it is a mistake! Stop making the game simplistic.
I attended the first Blizzcon in 05 and one of the speakers made a point I've never forgotten. He said and I quote. "We can easily set any mob to the point he's impossible to kill, but why would we want to" C'thun anyone? original Magtheridon? even the original Ragnaros was very hard to kill when 1st released. The list goes on and on. How many of you finished the hand of adal quest line to get attuned to SSC before they removed that attunment? Did that make doing that quest line any less fun? Was zoning into SSC for the fist time and discovering the joys of the original elevator boss less entertaining? I'm not surprised they made this announcement and in fact fully support the way it's being rolled out.
This nerf is really stupid, glad i canceled my account recently. Blizz knows the game is dying and is just trying to cash out as much as possible before it does.
