@SlamdnkatronI'm sorry that I have to disagree with you. I will admit that I haven't done any raiding in Vanilla. Tho I have done some Vanilla raiding during TBC. (Not that same I know). But I think that Heroic SHOULD be hard. If its Hard BUT doable, that'll make it all the more worthwhile to do. 10 and 25man Normal's should be easy-ish to get people into that type of content. If they nerf Heroics then where's the challenge? Isn't Ragg meant to be the Lord of the Fire-Lands? He's meant to be hard. Next thing you know when DW comes maybe only 10 guilds down him in 2 months on 25man Heroic, meaning that Deathwing the Destroyer will get nerf'd. But thats just it. DW is the leader of the Black Dragon Flight, Bane of the World, Kill you for giggles type bad guy, hes meant to be tough not tough then nerf'd cause not enough people kill him, which is what happened here. So Ragg lost 50million HP. If people already downed him pre-patch then why nerf him? He was already killable, this just made him easier yet taking away a true sense of Victory. Sure you can kill him faster, easier, less effort. But what does that all add up to? A still weakened Boss that is meant to be what he is pre-patch.By nerfing Heroic Raid Bosses you take away some or most of the challenge. Now I haven't done any Fire-lands Raiding as my Guild doesn't raid, but seeing this is just too much
So people were finding end-game content hard, so they're making it not so hard, that has to be one of the most retarded things I've ever heard --. I want the game to be as hard as possible -ffs!
Interesting...we never really had a problem with Beth when we got the 2nd stage though I heard our healers say it can be a pain to heal through those fire novas. This might help us to finally get Beth on farm.To poster above me: Not really, I'd argue that Beth required a certain raid comp that could deal with the spiderlings (You need someone with an aoe slow or massive aoe). The only dps that really matters is the one you send up to Beth and generally only one person with good dps is assigned to kill the drone. Everyone else is pretty much on spinners and spiderlings.
I'm sure this has been said before, but for the guilds that were about to kill it... this nerf really didn't change much at all. When every pull you're getting to phase 4 perfectly, and you're only wiping to phase 4 familiarity, the difference between a 1% wipe and a 8.5% wipe is only a bit of RNG.For example...youtube.com/watch?v=mp-T8SuM1fg&hd=1The 2nd US kill after the nerf, would have been the same in phases 1-3 and instead of sitting and burning at the end in the video, the raid would have moved into the nearby cleared patch and burned the extra 7.5% that was missing due to the nerf in that phase 4.On the other hand... for those guilds who were, at the time not consistently meeting the phase 3 dps check... the nerf is huge because they can actually get phase 4 experience and a kill shortly after....
I love to see all you nerds crying about nerfs. It's so pathetic. "oh seriously I love ultra hard content cos I'm a virtual baddass that achieves nothing in real life."Suck it up. I haven't seen HC rag in person but I've seen it on youtube, and seeing the stats of HC rag kills (less than 1%?) is really low. 36 guilds killed rag HC so he's doable. What a lame statement is that? This game caters millions of players so 36 guilds isn't really that many ppl. There's a distinct difference between Hard and Ridiculous. And imo HC Rag was Ridiculous. Sure, some guilds killed him, and for that I congratulate them for the hard work and stuff. So, if 0.88% of the worlds population survived a massive plane crash, means that plane crashes are survivable and we do not need any security improvements on planes?Seriously, what pisses me off more than "noobs" are the die hard hardcore players that act like elitist !@#$%^&s. "You can't play wow, you are retarded." Well, you fail at real life and _________ (wait, guess you don't live your RL cos you're too focused on a virtual game, so please fill empty space with any real implications in your life.)Besides, although it's quite a large nerf, 50 mil HP off him or w/e it is, doesn't mean he is fool proof. Doesn't mean that everyone and anyone will be able to kill rag HC. As a poster said earlier, just makes the sense of achievement from the hardcore raiders less than it was. So this isn't about difficulty, content, epics or theorycraft. This is all about their ego. Well boo-hoo. Go cry in your leet corner and if it's really that big of a deal, you can always find other things to do. Perhaps make some real friends, a girl/boy friend, get laid etc.And as for Legendary nerf. Why bother getting Legendaries? Blizzard devs are morons when it's about Legendaries. Takes so long to even grasp one, that by the time you get one, you are either: on the next patch making your legendary out of date, or weeks away from next patch which gives it no relevance to the grind you just made.In my opinion, Blizz should make challenging quests which allows you to upgrade your legendary to the current patch level. And possibly a legendary quest item which you have to get from the end boss of that content to finish the last quest on the chain. Then maybe legendaries are worth it. Cos just being able to show it off in SW/Org isn't enough, and surely not worth the amount of gold, time and hard work to get it.
