Its funny that everyone is now complaining about this seeing as for months now everyone has been saying how bad DK tanks are, i thinks these changes are welcome blood tanks are just too squishy as it is. as to the threat changes, I am glad that I dont have to completely throttle my dps as much as a did when running with a not so awesome tank, and i mean gear not skill, as a frost DK it is hard to do good dps and not pull aggro.
Honestly, Ghostcrawler isn't as bad as people say he is, but I wouldn't agree he's as good either. These problems he's just now addressing have existed since Cataclysm Beta, and the DK community has been very vocal about them and was perpetually either ignored or shot down.
I really can't stand how people have to bring up how a change meant for pve is going to make them QQ more in pvp. I don't pvp, and in all honesty, I could care less if any change that improves pve ruins anyones game in pvp in any way shape or form. I grow tired of game mechanic changes that should be meant to improve gameplay for heroics and raids having to sit on a commity for pvp.
I have some extra news besides my past comment...2 more ppl here in the internet cafe i am stop DK due to these changes cause they find it 1st no needed and 2nd BORING!And if you don't even believe it just make a poll soon after that patch to watch how many DKs where before it and after it...i am sure 95% of those that subscribe here will not believe me...and that's the problem why no1 sees the bad things of those changes..caus they only play dk since Cata....Have fun GC and go on...i really love more and more the way you destroy the game...
Sounds like the death knight tank spec will finally get the attention it needs. Now regaurding death strike for the survivalbility of frost and unholy they could use the old glyph of dark succor again because 7% heal isn't so impressive right now. That 15% heal for death strike was wondering and please bring that back. Death knights are NOT doing well in cleave teams and dont have the survival comfort the other classes do for survivalbility without heals like other classes such as rogues, warriors and mages.Last but not least Hungering cold in my opinion and expereience would be better balanced as a 2 minute cool down with instant cast once more. As an instant cast frost wouldn't be so vulnerable and its been easily kited in the past. As a 1 minute cool down it was too fast and too soon for such a powerful move. So as a 2 minute cool down and instant cast once more would be great!
"Our idea is to somehow turn Blood Shield into more of a pool that you actively try to build and maintain."...How would that be any different from the way it is now, exactly?I mean, I'm trying to imagine it like the new Blood Shield will be like a Rage or Runic Power bar "pool".You hit Death Strike, it grows. You get hit, it depletes. Typically more quickly on the latter and rather slowly on the former.But... far as I can tell, that's exactly how it works ALREADY. Maybe, MAYBE I could see it if they removed the 10 sec duration that makes you keep mashing Death Strike. But otherwise, I guess I'm just a little dumb, so a bit of clarification would be helpful.
Well said! Finally someone who understands.
