If you're going for the Scourgeborne Waraxe, you should consider buying Wrathful Gladiator's Chopper. It's only a few honor points, and you don't have to hope for a drop in ICC.
Please, whats name or ID of that chest she's wearing on screenshot for "Top Picks: Dungeon/Raid Gear" http://static.wowhead.com/uploads/screenshots/normal/243687.jpgIt does look like Vestments of the Shifting Sands from AQ40, but she wears Cursed vision of Sargeras, so i guess it's leather
I love you.Seriously though, I feel inclined to say that this is your coolest guide yet - thanks for listing those weapons, had totally forgot about some of them (and I've never even seen some of them before), and I definitely intend to set out on a gear hunt very soon! Well done!
Very nice guide, I wonder why you left Gleaming Quel'Serrar/ the 245 version and quel'delar out though.edit: and for the tier set lookalikes, check out this pageedit: Blood-Stained Pauldrons butt-ugly imo, but some people might like it, also has a white (healing) version and Pauldrons of Abyssal Fury which is more or less the tanking equivalent since it also has an unique model.
@Nulapwn It looks like Robes of Insight but colour is different..I really am looking forward to the silly look guide :) Red Pointy Hat Dark Herring Old Ironjaw Phosphora Fedora Spectrecles Tankard O' Terror Spring Circlet Jewel of Infinite Possibilities Surplus Limb Blossom of the Earthen Ring Dreamseeker Dandelion Suntouched Flowers Rockhide Strongfish so hard to choose :D
I'm surprised that you included Life and Death but not The Turning Tide... The Turning Tide is so much cooler, IMO. I'm glad I still have it saved on my Mage, but I have a strong desire to use a lightsaber too.
The formatting is weird on this for me. For example, the "Dagger" tab, the cell with the Dragonfang Blade stretches out the first cell to be so big that I can't read the Description cells. The text in the first cell is forced to be all on one line and I think that's what's causing the issue. If each weapon could be on it's own line, then the cell could be a normal size and the table would resize to be readable. But, otherwise, exceptionally good job (on the tabs that I can use, anyway!)
My Warlock is glad that 'mogging has arrived and glad that I've kept the Soul Harvester
Fori--thanks for the link. I've seen it before, but it's a bit sparse on t10-12. It's definitely a good reference point--we'll be creating custom itemsets on those 'fake' sets for the final guide :)Nulapwn--It is in fact the Vestments of the Shifting Sands. I was mixing and matching unique items just so people could get a sense of what a few neat things looked like.Fun fact: I vended some gear to make space for that screenshot in the middle of nowhere. Then I logged off. GG me on forgetting to buyback some of my own vanity gear :(Grifth--that's a very good point. Someone in guild is talking about that too with Apolyon/Brutal weapons. I think that's definitely something for me to mention in the look-alike guide.Alienor--I haven't heard others mention that cell issue yet, but I'll try splitting up that entry and seeing if it solves it for you.
The Horseman's Horrific Helm is definately missing in the plate section imho.
Theldurin's Fist :)Edit: Calamity's Grasp ;DEdit2: Greed, Pride :PEdit3: Staff of Feral Furies :3Edit 4: Peacekeeper Blade, Maexxna's Femur
Thanks for the weapon suggestions--I definitely don't mind. I'll probably wait a few hours and compile the comments later in the day.
I don't get why people overlook Rod of the Sleepwalker? It's one of the most simplest staves that actually looks like one a caster would wield. It's become my go to weapon of choice for RP sets.
It's listed as having a similar model to 13 weapons on our database, so I think people just assume it's common. There's a lot more plain sticks than t5 priest heads, but I will add it later as a reference in case someone doesn't want an epic look. Some guildies were complaining that I included Twinblade of the Phoenix because it was 'boring'--so I see where you are coming from cause I thought it was simple and cool.
As a dwarf hunter, I pride myself on my awesome guns. The greatest of which (according to myself and everyone I know) is the Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle. I'm incredibly glad I'll be able to use that model again.
Ok so... I have a lot of items that I would put on this list, so here goes.Heart of the Pit from Brutallus in SWP Staff of the Redeemer from The Cipher of Damnation in Shadowmoon ValleyWidebarrel Flintlock from Val'kyr Twins in ToC 10 man (The heroic version is the same)Frost Needle from Lord Marrogar in 10 man ICC (Heroic version has a purple glow rather than blue)Frostblade Hatchet/Blood Fury from Anub'arak 10 man in ToC and 25 man Lord Jaraxxus in ToC respectively (Heroic versions the same, Frostblade is red, Blood Fury is green)Staff of Endless Winter from 25 Heroic Hodir in Ulduar (see "Same model as" for the other staves)Twin's Pact from Val'kyr Twins in ToC 25 manOxheart from Valithria Dreamwalker 10 man in ICCIf I think of anymore, I'll post them, but for now I'd like to get back to farming MC for my Felheart set!
Another great guide.
It is not the biggest, most badass gun in the game, but I will definitely consider transmogrifying my bow/crossbow/gun into Cry of the Wolf. The design is simple, but I think it radiates flavor... especially if you are a Worgen.
Two 2-h swords I'd like to see are Armageddon from Naxx, and Destiny, the 50-60 world rare drop.
You forgot Heart of the Pit for the off-hand section. I mean who doesn't want to be holding a beating heart in their hands while they're casting spells.
