It's stated in the guide's introduction that look-alike tier will be covered in one of the two upcoming guides. Seems a lot of people really want it posted!
Rogue T9H here I come once more! :D
There are boots and belts there that match the tier 5 look alike pvp gear, but none for the tier 4 look alike pvp gear. I went through those with a fine tooth comb and was sad to see no matching gear for that set for my paladin. I love the tier 4 raid set for paladins, but the pvp version of that set had a better color scheme. Unfortunately the venders there only sell the plate boots to match the tier 5 warrior/pally look alike sets.
Ugh too many sets they should just add vendors for them all and make them cost a reasonable amount of Justice Points/Honor Points and take the actual drops/tokens out of the boss' loot tables.
I think this feature just sealed me canceling my subscription. If it turns out to be true that you need to possess the gear to transmogrify your stuff into it then it's going to an unused feature. A few players might have some old tier gear - maybe. But all my Naxx 2.0 gear is gone. All my Ulduar gear is gone. My ICC gear is gone. Why would I have kept it? A whole set is a minimum of 5 pieces (plus others that match) and even with the biggest bags in all my bank slots there's already enough stuff to keep.I would love to put my Shaman in Ten Storms, but I'm not going to run MC, BWL and Onyxia to get the set just so she can look the part. Too much of a waste of time. Maybe we'll be able to buy the pieces with Valor or Justice points and that would be the only redeeming thing that Blizzard will do with this. This feature is 'neat' but will get about as much use and be about as significant as the barber shop.
I can see a lot of DKs returning to their starter greens / quest blues, not just because their appearance is awesome but because the two DK chest pieces are their own chest models and not simply a skin applied to the player model (like most other chest items).
Now if they'll just remove the stupid restriction on entering raids solo. Three years late is better than never...
•Legendaries cannot be Transmogrified.Does this mean that you can't make the legendaries look different or is it the reverse that you can't make some epic weapon look like a legendary?Or is it simply both? D:
Will Blizz return unique model/colour items to game? I mean non-set items like Misplaced Servo Arm from naxx60 or Girdle of Stromgarde's Hope from old ZA.
There's one thing I don't understand.Do we have to own the armor that we are transmogrifing it to look like? i.e If I want my shaman's gear to look like Dungeon set 3, do I have to collect all pieces of the set before I can transform it?Thanks.
This is pretty cool, but: I don't see links anywhere pointing out the faux vanilla dungeon and raid set recolers from BC dungeons.
I've also said numerous times that look-alike tier gear will be covered in an additional guide (that link is good, but leaves a few out).
Currently working on my Tier 2.5, can't wait!
Yeah but people don't read what everyone says all the time lol.
