I dont get it...Have GC had a bit too much whiskey that dinner table? More threat? The mechanics are already dumb. Since Cataclysm, every class has their singlebutton threat. And it works in all cases except for some Ensidia-Paragon leet dps with 30k+ numbers. And even then, tank burst CDs like Inner Rage, Berserk, Wings, DRW make it possible. How much more can you boost threat? Players already degraded. HARDCORE tanks ignore hit and expertise. Druids reforge into dodge. Half of DKs doesn't even know how their DS works. What about you make every target the tank hits to be "tag-fixated" on him? No more threat issues at all! I see it, I read it - you've made it for the brainless kids who dps-tank in dungeon finder. Yes, it will not affect raiders who already have zero problems with threat. But 500% threat? When I tried to decide, whether at least exp is good for tanking, I took a look at various heroic tanks...Very few of them had 15+ exp. Some had less than 10. And that's even among druids and DKs. Okay, I understand that brainless shield-block tanks can ignore these stats. Hell, who cares when you can stand and soak damage. You boost mastery - it makes you block more often. No skill needed. Fine! But druids and DKs - if they COULD do heroics without bothering their gameplay - with this threat, there wont be a slight reason to have hit or exp. At all!I could feel proud, that DK's unique ACTIVE mitigation was finally looked at. But why torment other classes? No matter how I hate warriors and paladins. No matter how I despise druid survivability. To imagine that other classes have to watch their resources to manage their survivability? Is it another step towards "complete balance"? Warriors' and paladins' block is their brainlessness, and their disadvantage. Yes, you can block 30k out of 100k. No, you cant solo High Priest Venoxis or Gamon. Survivability is balanced enough, there is no need to make passive tanks "active". That will not make the game "fun", but just a hell more complicated. I hope you shield-blockers would agree. What could be done, if you actually bother DKs and druids - is slight rework in our mitigation. How come every druid guide cry out that dodge is better than mastery? Would you imagine a dodge-paladin or parry-warrior? Add some spell-damage reduction for Savage Defense. Make druids want to stack not Diminishing Returning dodge, but mastery, like any other class does. And DKs - why everyone else has to stand and hit s*it out of target, forgetting about their mitigation, while we have to TIME our DS to actually be competitive? And even worse - DS can fail! Miss, dodge, parry! I would like to see warrior's face if his block would be missed. Or druid missing selfbuff of Defense. Solution? Expertise? Hit? Waste of survivability? Public shame? And still not 100% guarantee that we get DS landed. Just make DS 100% to hit. Reduce the damage by half, doesn't matter with current threat. But make our heals happen when we need them, not when we manage to land them.So far, it seems to be "if it's working - it's not broken, and if it's not broken - it doesn't require fixing". Even worse - "if it doesn't require fixing - it can be used elsewhere!"Morale: first - solve your current mistakes. Then - try to make new.
